At worst, it's a cheaper Palace Jailer. At best, you blinked the Apparition and now even the Illusion token is gone. EDIT: you can start over. Hope there's a Ratchet Bomb effect in the set, now that Blast Zone is rotating out.
Reminds me of Thought-Knot Seer, Swan Song, Reality Shift et al: what you gift your opponent will always be worse than what they actually wanted to play, so the trade is asymmetrical in your favor. Would giving the spirit flying have made it broken, I wonder?
It feels like a sort of mini-Oblivion Ring on a stick. You can do the blinking trick on Oblilvion Ring to permanently exile a nonland permanent. Wizards shied away from this templating for a while, using Banishing Light wording instead.

It looks like they went with the Oblivion Ring template so on the way back from being blinked this thing can exile the Illusion token and reset for Round 3.
Well this is a removal/creature soo even at the drawback of giving a illusion back is probably not a bad trade....
the powercreep that creatures got the last few sets means that you can probably exile a 8/8 that costs 4. In older formats there is Death's Shadow but i m not sure on others because there are some value creatures that this would just "increasse" the P/T, but at least you remove the effect/ability. The aparition being 2/2 means it is easy target. Anyway good card.

Nawp. Doesn’t hit tokens, likely just for that reason.
In regards to blinking the apparition, it does depend on when you're doing it. If you blink this in response to it's ETB ability, the opponent never gets an illusion off the thing you exile with that ability, because there isn't an "exiled card" when you resolve the LTB ability. However, as noted if you blink it later, they sill still get a token and you'll be able to exile something new, which is a nice way to reset it, since the token is typically less valuable than whatever you're exiling.
How is it a cheaper Palace Jailer? Palace Jailer means you draw an extra card every turn by virtue of the monarch, quite a huge difference, on top of that the sort of decks it has played in mean they will never get the exiled card back. Indeed given this can exile non-creatures I don't see the similarity at all.

Blinking won't do anything to the token.
