I'm really pulling for this and Zendikar. So far only Theros delivered for me this year.
...I am confused.
Your interests in MTG appear to be two planes (Mostly Theros and a little bit Kamigawa), Two planeswalkers (Kiora + Jace), and Sea Monsters.
I get that there is no problem asking for but isn't there some realistic expectation of seeing what you like less frequently when your interests are so narrow?
I just mentioned interest in Zendikar... And I've been fond of Lorwyn too. I think a lot of what I admire in MTG WOTC isn't willing to do so you don't hear about it as much.
Hal and Alena finally getting cards is absolutely a good call.
I admire that they have individual cards, but also partner. I'd love to see this for Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis.
Partner being in the set seems to imply we may get reprints of the C16 legends? That would be amazing. May not get them all, though. But Partner appearing in a draftable Commander set definitely makes sense. Allows for diverse, flexible play.
I hope see Pavios and Thanasis in the future.
I'd be feeling the lands if they weren't Kylem themed. Meh.
Without fail, when I'm looking at new spoilers, I'll scroll down through the comments and usually by the end of the first page find one reply that irks me, usually because it's complaining in some petty way about the reveal.
Then usually the second part of that reply, there will be a comment about how the post wishes this new card/product had been connected to Theros somehow. Without fail, it will be this account.
It's fine to put your perpetually negative two cents in, and I guess it's fine to constantly lobby for more Theros, but do you really need to reply to this post 7 different times? At what point does a community member get flagged as a spammer? Really asking.
I'm actually with Tiro here. Vorthoses (Vorthi?) tend to get caught up on weird things like art, and I really don't like Kylem either. Had these illustrations featured Dominaria, Lorwyn, Kamigawa, Shandalar, Eldraine, Theros, Tarkir, New Phyrexia, or Innistrad, I'd be properly hyped, but as it is, I'm not all that interested.
I realize how ridiculous that sounds, and you're welcome to think it's stupid, since it's just not the way most Magic players tend to think. The notion that cool lands like these could be printed and that the art, of all things (which has nothing to do with gameplay anyway), should turn off certain players sounds, perhaps, laughably absurd. I'm not even going to try defending it as rational - it can't be defended with logic. But as someone who would probably never put Kylem-themed art in one of my decks, I get it. It's purely an emotional response, and Kylem itself is off-putting to me.
More cards for you, I guess.
(Edit: My purpose here isn't to complain about the lands. I'm just saying that as a Vorthos, Tiro's objection makes a certain emotional sense of the kind that many Vorthoses like myself can relate to, even if it's not logical sense. Art and flavor are not "petty" concerns - to some people they can be everything.)
So if gix is here as so wrong as it sounds for a phyrexian he will have partner
Can't wait to hear their excuses for that.
"you know, phyrexians partnered a lot. Yawgmoth wanted to partner with Rebbec, Greven partenered with Vathi... the whole plane of Rath partnered with Dominaria! Phyrexians are totally parter guys! Now, for Commander Legends 2, there will be Leshrac, Tevesh Szat and a new Bolas! All with partner, of course..."

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

Glad to see another Vorthos that understands my perspective. I think it's entirely rational really - MTG are not playing cards, there's art for a reason, and if there weren't people with this perspective we wouldn't have the name Vorthos to being with.
That said, it's also strange to me that my post was called negative when it was actually largely positive with one critique rooted in personal and justified opinion. Kylem is rather shallow, isn't fleshed out in the lore and isn't aesthetically pleasing to me. The lands themselves are strong of course.

I'm not kidding about the spam. I think we can all agree to assume that any new information comes out will meet your disapproval unless it's Theros-related. There, you don't have to post anymore!

I consider your posts complaining about, ridiculing and judging my on-topic opinions to be negative. There is an ignore feature you could take advantage of rather than act like people need your approval to post their opinions.
Can't wait to partner Gix and Yawgmoth with the random dog that they will put in this set, Phyrexian dogs sounds sweettt
That's how they think we will react btw
Is the names but Vault of Champions Is the semi-Final card of the set And V to Z is possible in it and you need 2 more “W's” So you can’t put all 5 Ally fetches
Just want to point out that the set numbers for the Battlebond lands crunch out the possibility of allied fetchlands being in this set.
Who cares we want the enemy ones!

yes but the care was everyone assumed they would be here because of what they said when they announced ultimate secret they have plans for the ally ones and double masters said they are not here and now we know it’s not Commander legends Either and Rudy’s email may have Ben right about zendikar rising collector edition
Anyway, any guesses on the other 31 bonus commanders from throughout mtg history? Idk but I hope they're all not commander-worthy which seems counterproductive to the set but seeing as they are bonus special cards... because that would rule out a lot of cool old legends that I would love to see that aren't necessarily the best commanders.

Really? I think logical answer might be all the commanders from commander 2011 and 2013 and 2016
Love seeing Halana and Alena. I liked their characters in the Shadows Over Innistrad storyline and contributions to the flavour (isn't one of them depicted in Village Survivors before SOI?). But Baron...well...Baron is a hold different thing.
Was expecting a lot more from a character with a strong redesign desire.

That would be sad. And I doubt it considering these 32 are from all of magic history. Game-wise
I guess that’s true
maybe original partners

Animar

That’s what I can think of based on Most popular commanders

Some of those are probably likely, but Ayula and Gishath require a bunch of other specific cards to be in the set to work,
so I’d say their chances are very low.
Some of those are also a bit new (Yuriko, Feather, Golos), but who knows where they cut off, set-wise.
There’s also a possibility some of them (including the ones I’ve dismissed above) could be part of the Etched Foils,
since those don’t have to have any support cards as they aren’t part of the draft format.

So if gix is here as so wrong as it sounds for a phyrexian he will have partner he’s pretty much mono black as I predicted Based on cards
by the way got the set size
it has 361 cards none are basics 165 are new so for those playing at home that means there are 196 reprints

Battlebond was 36 packs per box. We're getting 24 for Commander Legends. I think 24-pack booster boxes for supplemental sets is becoming the norm.
