Its not unreasonable to think about the draft environment.
If you buy a box for 300, its 37.50 a person (price of three boosters), and the box toppers can be prize. A shop can charge 40 and add a couple of standard packs for prize support for 3rd and 4th place
Or you can draft the your own box with friends and keep the cards instead of just cracking the packs.

Or you can phantom draft on MODO.
$300 is not chump change. That's the cost of a Nintendo Switch Lite and some games. $37.50 is 2 standard drafts.
To me, it doesn't look like many boxes will be opened for draft. Those that are able to afford these will surely open them for singles resale or leave them sealed as an investment vehicle.
That's another dollar rares. I understand that you get 2 rares in a pack but this doesn't belong in a premium product. They should just have made this set non-draft.
Imagine how pricy packs could get if they literally weren't gambling though
they have put dark depths and vampire hexmage in one set and expect us to believe it is draftable ?
to me this artifact masters is super boring (never seen such a boring set, ultimate masters was way better as a reprint set and that one really was fun to draft)

it looks like 2xm have the same distribution of junk cards through rarities as any other set but the ceiling for value is much higher.
i think the complaint is that people would prefer wotc to stop justifying putting low value cards in packs by "it's for draft" bs.
Today, Blake talks about Salvage draft, aka Cheerios, except instead of slowly pinging your opponent to death, gives you a free Craw Wurm in Limited. This is in the running for the worst rare of the set, price-wise. Oh, and Throne of Geth is here.
Hands to the sky

Except jokes on this complaint because this is a blessing for the foil collectors since it's $10 this will annihilate that price
