The fact that they kept the Terese Nielson art for the regular card brings a tear to my eye...
they said they couldn't remove her art in time, just like noah bradley
Although I agree with what the other posters, and your personal post is implying, they didn't outrite state that, as said here. I recall them having a livestream earlier last month with Core 2021 I believe where they said one more piece of artwork from Terese was coming back (a reprint) for Zendikar Rising, but I may be wrong there...

Or they'll just flush more Force of Will's down the toilet in protest to drive up the price of the card because we're all being told by MTG Twitter to hate Terese Nielsen for her political bias when it shouldn't even matter. Better than Gerry Thompson defacing them with a Sharpie at least. >_>

It isn’t for no reason. You may not like the reason, but it is a legitimate one. Also, you’re not being told to hate her, she followed questionable groups and the company responded to it. You can still collect her art if you want.

Wizards of the Coast's reason was "Let's go after anyone who doesn't think like us", yet they wonder why people are leaving Magic: the Gathering. I still enjoy playing the game whenever I can however it's hard to ignore how their political beliefs are impacting game design.

It’s not a “legitimate” reason. It’s barely even a reason at all.

1. That's not their reason. 2. What evidence do you have of people leaving MtG. 3. Can you give a single real example of how political beliefs have impacted the game design?

That's your opinion, I guess. The FBI has an opinion, that QAnon-driven conspiracy theories are a vector for domestic terrorism.
ANYWAY FOR THE CARD. I was thinking we wouldn't be getting this after Jace already got spoiled, I assumed that was the only "money blue mythic" of the set. This and the other mythics continue to mostly do wonders for the set's expected value, but it still feels like a total crap shoot with all the bulk rares. We need a detailed breakdown of expected number of mythics per box, once everything is spoiled. It feels like packs will really be all or nothing.
Love the borderless box topper art. I think the flavor text goes really well with the feel of the card, too.
Yes you can get it non foil in your regular box. The box comes with 2 non foil showcases
Yeah, actually, about that... Why EVER are they putting non-foil showcase cards as box toppers in the boxes? That's the ONE place where you should get guaranteed foils!
Does this mean that the guaranteed foil showcase rares/mythics in the VIP boosters are the ONLY place to get showcase foils???:gaping:

I daresay the people Terese Nielsen associates herself with have "Let's go after anyone who doesn't think like us" as their mantra...
People on both sides of the political spectrum go after people who don't think like them. Let's not get tribal in these forums and believe that "my side in innocent and your side is evil"
Therese shouldn't have been let go. Outside political views should have no bearing on your work, period.
Disagree if you want, it's an extreme and Fascist view to disagree with issues of free speech.

Liberalism FTW.
Lol at "Disagree if you want, but disagreeing with me makes you fascist."
This is a free speech issue on both sides, goofus. The artist has free speech, and freedom of her political views. The company has the freedom to decide if they want to amplify her free speech/views by associating with her and popularizing her. The company has used their freedom to decide that they don't. The company has not prevented the artist from associating with whom she likes, nor imprisoned her, and they're honoring existing agreements to continue to pay her for her work.
Unless you're advocating that the company shouldn't have the freedom to do that? That the law and the government can tell you who you must and who you cannot associate with? (That would be fascism, by the way) And while you're reading up on the actual definitions of the words you're using, Liberalism is the political movement that suggests people should be able to make choices instead of the government making the decisions for them.

edit: Sorry I'm a little salty about this, I just had a 3 hour phone conversation with a police officer I used to know who has adopted similar views to the ones being discussed and now thinks that the executive effectively issuing a blanket writ of attainder against protesters is just fine under the law, so the slippery slope of exactly what is being discussed here is very real at the moment and I failed my saving roll versus soapbox just now.
It's here it's it keeps it's terese nielson art (this is the last time we will see it obviously) and that showcase is just stunning!

It will, however, likely by the most expensive card in the set. The foil version, that is.
The set was probably locked before they made the call to publicly cut ties with her.
Yep but this is the last time we will see it reprinted in that art since it was too late to cut it
It's stunning
Oh yeah, which still makes me happy, and I will gladly be collecting these beauties...
