Pair of Legacy playables coming through.
I wonder if that full-art Crop Rotation can finally out-price the Urza's Legacy foil.
That Council's Judgment is Village Cannibals-level creepy.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Council's Judgment is a $10+ rare that is likely to retain that value over time even with a reprinting here. Good choice. More of these in the rare slot, please.

nope It’s not gonna hold this it’s the second printing of this so another scarcity problem was the reason for a $10 price tag and yes even when it sees a little play in the legacy and lots of play in commander which is why it rose in the first place

I think you mean "scarcity"
Other than that I agree : card is valuable because it was printed only once in an exotic set. Its price is due to partly legacy (though they don't use a full playset) but also mainly commander players I think.
when they announce a product like VIP edition saying, you get 2 showcase rares / mythics and than they just label a common or uncommon as a rare, just for the purpose of it being rare, is that a scam or is it ok (arguing the card is not as often printed as the common version)... just wondering with all these showcase common rares
i mean, would an alternate art grizzly bears with a mythic stamp count as mythic ???

I disagree with you both because in my opinion this card's value is not *just* due to its scarcity - it is also a powerful commander staple. The reprint will definitely bring its price down, but my original post said it is likely to retain its value "over time" because I think it will go back up in price, due to ongoing demand in commander. This is not the case of an extremely rare card that will actually see no or little play once it gets its first reprint (grim tutor).
Now if it also gets printed in commander legends, that could see its value be brought down more severely.

Yep
And the commander players is why I expected this to be in commander legends since both conspiracy sets brought mechanics that edh players love
an tree in autumn (which kind of means he is about to die, sort of) is growing new plants (like sacrificing himself for the next generation)
this is totally fitting crop rotation. u sacrifice an old land to get a new one. art is perfectly fitting
EDIT:
lol nevermind. i was just reading the flavor text which is exactly the same what i just descriped

I did see it that way before getting noticed that the card has a flavor text, so yeah the idea is quite clear.
You would have thought that they would have learned how much people hated having a few uncommons as box toppers in Ultimate Masters that would have only given us rares and mythic, but nope let's add common box toppers in. WTF! When they announce the next master set no one should buy boxes / play in sealed / draft. It is the only way to show that we will not accept crap reprints like blade splicer. You would have thought they from iconic and M25. Ultimate masters was great, but clearly they forgot and figure they can give us 2 dollar or less rares and we will be fine with that.

In most cases, sure. Expedition Map, definitely. But with Crop Rotation, this is its second foil ever, and the first one hovers at $175.
Crop rotation is literally the first slam dunk box topper imo. I dislike the art on both previous rotations and love this one. Add in the high desirability for multiple decks (what do you do with 2 blingy atraxas?) And it just checks off all the boxes. The bling cards defy rarity and should solely be evaluated by the metrics that are relevant. How improved is the art? How long is that card on display (commander > permanent > sorcery/instant)? How many decks want that card?

I don't. ULG foil will easily win out.
I thought for sure this would be a commander legends reprint

hate that crop rotation alt art. i mean, its a high quality piece, it just doesn't resonate with the vibe of the card. i can't really describe why.
In most cases the new art is just not fitting at all.
