really like his stuff in the early days, but i don't think his style has changed at all and doesn't really hold up with this type of material. phyrexian styled stuff, sure, urza styled stuff not so much. urza's designs were sleek, and far less organic. tedin's style is completely organic, so it just doesn't work here.
plus karn's pose is laughable

Having a themed land cycle that combines in artwork is always nice , but the art is pretty weak here , almost confusing.
Karn Liberated is among the most "Powerful" image you can have for a planeswalker , as it makes him look buff as hell and people learn to fear that artwork in powerlevel also.
Wow, that Mark Tedin art is amazing. I only wish they'd used the 8th edition bathysphere-with-arms art for Urza's Mine. The 9th edition art is pretty featureless.
Also, I hope I'm the only one who actually likes the Karn art so I can get one cheap...

I fear I have to agree with almost everyone else here... I LOVE Mark Tedin's art, and the Urzatron lands are cool, but the Karn... Sweet mother of laughing baby...
Mark Tedin’s work is iconic, legendary. But that Karn piece has got to be his worst he’s released.
I loved Tedin's older stuff. That Karn is poop on cardboard. Not too impressed by the Tron land by Tedin either. I'll take the regular borders please.
