And more rares. Strix is at rare solely for Limited reasons, but today's mothership article says a lot of rares are acting as build-arounds because there's 121 of them.
These are cards used in Commander, but they have been reprinted at least once, and both cards are used in specific decks. So, they aren't really in-demand rares. The set is definitely a high risk for individuals buying packs. It is looking like individuals should let the retailers and bigger sellers assume the financial risk of opening this set and having individuals buy singles.

I never really get the having to upshift cards in Masters sets for limited. People do not draft Masters sets in significant numbers, even if LGS were open people don't play $50 drafts more than once. It's not even like Strix is that busted for an uncommon in limited in what is bound to be a higher powered environment than normal sets.

I agree, but what do you think they are going to do when they assume that risk and the capital it takes to purchase it? They are going to pass it along to us in the form of higher prices. That is how it works. (Of course then it is up to us as secondary/tertiary market consumers to show fiscal discipline and not buy at high prices)

this would be nice in 6€ 2XM booster packs
pack buyers will go balistic though since strix was upshifted to rare (for draft and limited purposes ofcoarse) and both are well under 16
Too soon?

They always design for draft.
These two cards are great in limited.
The two reflections suck at limited though, not sure why they are in the set...
8.RG Green Devotion Ramp/Combo 9.UR Draw Triggers 10.WUR Group stalling 11.WUR Voltron Spellslinger 12.WB Sacrificial Shenanigans
13.BR Creatureless Panharmonicon 14.BR Pingers and Eldrazi 15.URG Untapped Cascading
16.Reyhan, last of the Abzan's WUBG +1/+1 Counter Craziness 17.WUBRG Dragons aka Why did I make this?
Building: The Gitrog Monster lands, Glissa the Traitor stax, Muldrotha, the Gravetide Planeswalker Combo, Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix + Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa Clues, and Tribal Scarecrow Planeswalkers
neither of them are bad cards... they're just kind of everywhere already
