Archaeology is an artifact-based theme, and it has four packs allocated to it. Decklists are in the first comment.
Miranda Meeks' art style is pretty awesome. I love the...softness of the colouring and character design and reminds me of Indulging Patrician.
However I guess my hope for an Argivian Archaeologist was false because well reserved list. Scarecrone coming back is a plus. What's it at now, like $15-20?

These reprints are great! Aether spellbomb was actually getting up there in price and/or just hard to obtain cheaply, nice to see it in all these packs. And scarecrone and vedalken archmage are cool.
The island is also fantastic. Do I need to pick up 30 of these for my Emry deck? (Why oh why couldn't they have made all the basics the "theme basic" for each pack?)
I've been wanting new art fo Archaeomancer. And new Archaeologist themed cards in general. But darn, I was hoping they'd finally give us a male one.
It's Archaeomender, not Archaeomancer. This is the mender's first printing.

Oh I didn't notice that. Thank you. Very cool card. I love the idea of Archaeology themed cards. Been requesting that for some time. I hope we get some legendary archaeologists in the future.
Yay, Scholar of the Lost Trove is yet another yawn worthy all upside, no thought required ETB trigger that just wins by entering the battlefield. So dumb in EDH. No setup other than putting your (insert broken insta-win artifact, instant or sorcery) cards in your graveyard. There really needs something done about ETB triggers that is a permanent effect, something like an emblem that counters all triggers from creatures. There are too many recursive ETB triggers vs. repeated ways to stop it. Torpor Orb and friends get blown up, Stifle effects are one shots, Counterspells only work on the creatures being cast from hand, and to time these anti-ETB triggers are not easy when there are this many insane ETB creatures.

especially since I have several decks which run Riptide Laboratory to recur the ‘mancer.
