Neyith of the Dire Hunt 2GG
Legendary Creature- Human Warrior
Whenever one or more creatures you control fights or becomes blocked, draw a card.
At the beginning of combat on your turn, you may pay 2(R/G). If you do, double target creature's power until end of turn. That creature must be blocked this combat if able.

Hello empty slot in many boxes at LGS's and lower price on the remaining?
Are you going to be able to tell from the outside which pack is which? I thought I heard you won't know until it's opened.
From what we know so far, you seem to be able to tell some but not all.
i.e. there are 4 Predatory packs. You can tell you're getting a Predatory pack but not which one.
There is only one Rainbow pack. So you will know what's in there.
This however is the Teferi pack. We dont yet know how many of those there are.
Nope. Random packs. No data.
To be clear, all of the struck through stuff is true, but only visible once you've opened the outer wrapper. Inside that outer wrapper, there's a theme card that shows which theme it is, and the cards of the pack are shrink wrapped together. But until you open that wrapper, there's just the Jumpstart booster image.
Edit: Oh, and minor correction: We do know how many teferi packs there are, they explictly called out that there is only one version. At a guess, we're going to see "common" themes with 4 variations, "uncommon" themes with 2, and "rare" themes that only have one variation.
I would have liked to have the Thriving cycle in the Coreset to open up some slots from the basic land cycle (10) there. I feel like it's more elegantly designed to reduce card slots.
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Neyith of the Dire Hunt is everything I could want for my wolf theme commander deck. I couldn't design anything more perfect. Love it. So, my next question, can Jumpstart cards be foil?
Edit: Googled the answer and was just a little bummed but I get it. I'll still be getting Neyith for my commander deck and it'll have to be the odd one out as the only non-foil. Guess that makes it special in it's own way lol.
i'm glad teferi will be appearing here, it should help control the price though i imagine he'll get banned at some point in at least 1 format
neyith is really interesting and a nice spin on g/r commanders. she explores a design space they've pushed hard with the colors in recent sets, and she should be fairly interesting to build
her + Ayula, Queen Among Bears + Words of Wilding could be a really cute way to clear the table with bears (assuming you have a ton of mana), throw in that new dragon or purphoros for added fun, or if you make a thorn mammoth indestructible somehow and pair it with words of wilding that'd work too... its a lot of hoops
i'm not entirely sure i want to build her vs. the new radha, they're vastly different though so whichever i can get a better brew for wins out
Oh great, just what we didn't need, more taplands. Glad they found the time to polish those turds they're so fond of. I mean, I can see they give a modicum of flexibility over the regular ETBT duals, but still, they're bad.

Today, set lead Doug Beyer tells us the story behind Jumpstart, and reveals the Predatory pack. Reprints include Gingerbrute, Dawntreader Elk, Brindle Shoat, Trufflesnout, Affectionate Indrik, Sabertooth Mauler, Fungal Rebirth, Irresistible Prey, Time to Feed, Marauder's Axe, Crushing Canopy, Somberwald Stag, Sylvan Brushstrider, Thragtusk, Ravenous Baloth, and Momentous Fall.
Also previewed is the Teferi pack, running Teferi, Master of Time, Teferi's Ageless Insight, Teferi's Tutelage, Teferi's Protege, Vodalian Arcanist, Prescient Chimera, Sage's Row Savant, Talrand's Invocation, Exclude, Opt, Leave in the Dust, Thriving Isle and the showcase Island.
Anyone notice the increased usage of the word "double" when it comes to a creature's power? I find that interesting.
EDIT: What's the Predatory thing referring to? O.o EDIT II: Oh, is that the name of the theme of that particular pack?

So, before you buy the pack, you know nothing, Jon Snow. They're random packs. No data.
After you open the pack, there's a second transparent wrapper that lets you know the theme only.

Also, those new lands put the Vivid lands to shame...
I’m guessing we’ll start seeing those in every Commander precon in the future?
