"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
So some of the included creatures are ..... odd, but the card itself is serviceable for the three (or four, depending) tribes that would likely support it.
At first I thought this was meant to represent a haven for freed domesticated animals, but then snakes don't really feel fitting. I love the concept, it's just raising all sorts of questions. Like, are they all supposed to be freed pets? Because why would Ox be included and why not other pet types like, say, Spiders or Fish? This seriously does not matter at all, I'm just fascinated by why they selected these types in particular.
Very cute art though the animal election seems random, maybe a hint to future sets?
Maybe, but the cats couldn't agree on a nominee. The dogs all voted for themselves, so the remaining species couldnt muster the numbers to outvote the birds who flocked to the populist candidate promising a block of seed in every tree.

Also are Ox a tribe? Cats, Dogs, Snakes and Birds decks are a thing and Goats I believe has been a jokey deck so it does at least have some backwards play.

Snakes are included without Spiders and Fish because the spiders and fish that exist on magic cards aren't the type that you would have for a pet. On the other hand, Snake cards in magic often fit the bill of what people keep as pets. It's "Domesticated animals and Pets", as emphasized by the flavor text picking out "no owners allowed".

Closer, maybe? But I don't think most of the snakes depicted in the game would be safe to have in your home.
There's also Lizards, Frogs, Rabbits, Rats/Mice, Scorpions, and Turtles that qualify at least as much as Snakes as MtG pet species. Like Horses, Boars, Camels, and Sheep are domesticated types not included.
Again, I want to reiterate that I'm being almost entirely tongue in cheek. They can't and shouldn't have tried to fit every technically-qualifying type on the card. It's just interesting what they did select and what they choose to leave off. Inconsequential, but interesting.

That part I got, the selection of creature types they selected to represent that theme just struck me as perplexing.
Benthic Reaches
Add U or G
4T: Put a Kraken, Leviathan, Serpent or Octopus card from your hand into play.
This is what I want.
That land would be broken but i like
Benthic Reaches
legendary land T: add G to your mana pool. If you control a blue creature you may add U instead. 4UGT: Put a non Legendary Kraken, Leviathan, Serpent or Octopus card from your hand into play.
This would be a more realistic aproach of what wotc would print, but lately with all the powercreep i could very well see a land similar to the land of your dreams i mean, they printed Oko, Uro, Kinnan all in a row, they definitely don't care about broken or very powerfull UG cards.
This land could be a biblical reference, representing the sanctuary (Eden) where humans have been exiled, unable to return.
We have a lone snake, smirking atop a dying tree, perhaps what used to be the tree of life.
Watching...Tempting you into giving it your mana (occasionally spelled manna), which was originally a Hebrew word also used to describe a food provided by God to survive a long journey.
Oh come on bears couldn’t be involved of this (jk lol)
Nice card for those tribes
Basically Swarmyard reimagened and far prettier
Oh one more thing the artist said the 2 cats and the black dog are identical to the artist own pets
I guess it could have been the 12 mana red sorcery...

Wotc has to keep the gamergate/incel crowd happy somehow.
And yeah, this art, the dog and ox nose boop... super cute. Will make a great playmat.
How Sisyphean of them.
OMG how did I not notice the nose boop!? You're right, this is a great playmat art.
Except for that friggin' snake. Why are you even there, snake? I'll never forgive you after getting salmonella from petting you that one time.

I used to be a demigod, but now I'm an omnimage
the only change i would've actually made is letting it tap for one mana of any color if its used to cast any of those creature types
