I'm super stoked for this, because of Eye of the Storm. Anything that grants haste, untaps creatures, steals creatures and make extra mana seems great with that.

And in a way it only cost 1R since you get 2 mana back might be handy
Heck if you say black after the attack you can sac the stolen creature with Village Rites
Well, village rites or attack as you would like the maba when you move to combat.
Or a level 4 Echo Mage, I guess.
For the ultimate in jank, add any of Goblin Medics, Night Market Lookout, Servant of Tymaret, Fallowsage, Sphinx's Disciple or, my personal favorite, Grimoire Thief
Edit: on second thought, with rituals this could be a t3 win in Modern. Clearly not a deck but maybe the seed of something.
