Really digging this design space of "if X wasn't cast from the hand". This ain't nowhere near as pushed as See the Truth but it's still super cool.
Sadly, aside from the obvious Lurrus.dek, I can't see this seeing much play anywhere. Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord and Luminous Broodmoth are also in Standard, so maybe it can be a splash into some weird WB brew? Ugh, it doesn't even works with Offspring's Revenge.
As no one else has pointed it out, I expect that this guy and beloved Princess will be our only 1-drop lifelinkers (unless I've missed one) for dedicated life gain decks when the vampire and hawk rotate out... which kind of sucks for lifegain. Won't be the primary use for the card but still wanted to point it out.
I really like how you can cast this on 1 . Village Rites it on 2, and Call of the Death-Dweller on 3. If you get to a point in the game where you have two of these in the yard, Call can bring them both back.
Also of note is that this makes it worthwhile to take a second look at Death's Oasis which feels like an engine without enough parts right now... this is a new part right here.

Luckily, this 1/1 is NOT a Zombie card, otherwise it would be much more effective...
