I find that Chandra incredibly boring.
But now I've always hated the fact planeswalkers have dozens of different cards just like pokemons. Legendary creatures rule.
At least Basri looks cool and different.

Nice. Impressive so far. I'm surprised they didn't make him Adrian Adanto of Luijo though.
Adanto'sassociatedcards are all mono-white, so he should be white-black, if not mono-white. I'm guessing set needs pushed him out. Commander Legends maybe?
I'm still skeptical about phasing being reintroduced, I can see it confusing the hell out of people since it is kinda like blinking in a way. Other than that, I have to agree with that Teferi being fake, it definitely reads like "Wizard of the Coast" there, plus the collector number makes no sense either, a blue card starting with T should have a higher number, unless they have decided to name every previous card after Teferi...yay! a Teferi-based set after we got 5-mana Teferi being used to grief opponents until they gave up in frustration (regardless of how dumb that was as an actual winning strategy) and then 3feri's static ability which was costed at 2UUU the first time it came up. I guess core 2022 will be all about Oko.
Is Basri our first Arab planeswalker since Taysir? Because that’s awesome
And Samut I suppose
What about Tezzeret?
Tezzeret is black.
Ancient Egypt wasn't a homogeneous place and had influences from Arabic, Southern Europeans and African cultures and people. Samut is more on that African side while Basri is more on the Arabic side. Nice that after 56 walkers we finally see someone Arabic and not another minotaur or something.

Now that Wizards are waiting until tomorrow to have the live stream, I´m wondering if we still get spoilers today from people who have previews for today

Looks like a mono-colour legend for each of the five colours, and I'm thinking they'll do multicolour but with shards rather than wedges that M20 had.
I just hope that they bring flanking in to honour Teferi's Mirage story origins. That would be such a huge (yuuuggeee?) throwback for those who remember Teferi from those days.

Finally some Middle Eastern representation. The Lebanese part of my heritage approves

What planeswalkers would you say are representative of Southern Europeans? Out of topic I know but I always thought of Liliana as a southern european
I guess it tends on what you consider Southern European but Gideon and Calix for Theros (Greece), Dack for Fiora (Italy), Arlinn and Sorin from Innistrad (a lot of Germany but has a lot of Romanian influences for vampire themes) and Domir and Ral from Ravnica (Slavic).
Elspeth isn't from Theros and we don't know much about her home planes culture influences.

Saying ancient Egyptians (on which the human peoples of Amonkhet are based) were "arabic" is highly inaccurate at best. Current Egyptians certainly are, but they share little to nothing with the people who built the pyramids.
And I know this is bad timing, but speaking as a chilean latino I can't friggin' believe we got ANOTHER generic, dark skinned human planeswalker again. Between Gideon in his last few arts, Samut, Vivien, Calyx... When was the last time we got a, say, Elf planeswalker? This is getting really boring.
I think I've learned to treat Magic cards like baseball cards: keep 'em in a binder in numerical order, don't play with 'em, try to finish the set and just keep my head down.

Oko last fall, Lordwind Grace and Angrath year before. All of them between those you listed even. And the number of non-human outnumbers the poc walkers.

Cards I still want to see created:

Most people can parse up to 5 symbols quite fast. After that is becomes difficult and six R is much better to read.
Essentially like this:
Add C
Add CC
Add CCC
Add CCCC
Add CCCCC
Add six C
Add seven C
etc.
You can set of the cut of earlier but up to three you definitly want the symbols.
Add CCC
is much better to read than
Add three C
Hands to the sky
Give a round of applause
For the great Miss Y!
^^ This.
Aethersquall Ancient was terrible to read, while Hightide Hermit was more or less OK.

That's definitely a ixalan vampire
And just what we need another Edgar Markov forever staple
Heck it's better than Sanguine Bond because it's 2 cheaper and you can use vito himself for Blood Tribute instant kill

Just curious that if they asked 2000 players what new walker they would want....probably 0 would say a generic white mana based Human from Amonkhet.

Of coarse that's not the tribe they focusing on in core 2021 since the hint said a tribe that never got a +1/+1 lord before
It's a Lhurgoyf lord!
(I keed)
They are still hiding the flavor text
the flavor text reveals something for ixalan perhaps?
Gideon and Elspeth immediately jump to mind, coming from a Greek-inspired plane. Greece and Egypt have influenced each other a lot.

More likely it's either some one-line ability, or just the P/T. I don't think there's space for the divider and flavor text on that last line.
