The story blurb for Whirlwind of Thought says Narset is on Ikoria trying to get over her encounter with Bolas. Can someone remind me of what that was because I don’t remember her being in the War book at all.

Oh just that she was there, fought the dreadhorde, and apparently helped strategize a counter attack. Perhaps she is just blowing off steam?
So, all in all, the set is a disappointment to me in ONE way: Where are all the behemoths??
I was sooooo looking forward to getting a whole slew of really insanely big creatures, say, 9/9 and above, some with ridiculous abilities but also, of course ridiculous mana costs - think Zacama, Primal Calamity. But all we got was a single uncommon that's 10/10 or over...
I like creatures with big butts and I cannot lie.
Other than that, set is awesome, the alt-art versions look fantastic, and I'll be buying the s*** out of the collector's boxes now that I know they contain the Godzilla series cards!!

That’s pretty much my only complaint too
Why call it lair of the behemoths when the average power and toughness of the monsters is around 6/6
Heck Gemrazer (normal art and showcase art) is the one on the box art and it’s only a 4/4 that looked like a 9/9 11/11 on the box art
Now that its fully spoiled theres actually very little i want from the set. I guess most of what i really wanted is coming out of the commander precons. Its not a bad set, just not a lot i want. Oh well.
Ram through is interesting. Green removal and damage through from a big beefy trampler.
I love ram through. It sort of uses the "spell trample" concept from Flame Spill, with perfect flavor.
Add me to the chorus calling for more Wanderer cameos!
Mythos of Illuna seems really strong. And Genesis Ultimatum seems quite strong, too. If you were ever in the habit of casting Genesis Wave for X=5, stop and do this instead.
Zilortha, Strength Incarnate is completely MIA from the regular Card Image Gallery and appears to be the Buy-a-Box promo. When will we ever get a Zilortha that doesn't have Godzilla's name printed on it?

They did it twice
Anyway this is how they make this ability in black border
Ram Through is actually a little different because if your opponent has a low toughness creature you could buff a trampler and use it as a direct damage finisher. At 1 toughness you get to Fling your creature (-1 damage, granted, but no sacrifice).
Is it just me or is Crystacean none other than Mr. Krabs from Spongebob Squarepants???
omg how did I not see this before? The flavor text sounding like a dating app profile kills me. A must have. The art is great too.
Man I love blue cards especially sea creatures.
What I suspect happened here is that the original card got cut from the set fairly late in the process (for set design reasons, rather than any problems with the individual card), but that they didn't really have another option for that slot in the godzilla series, and didn't wan to lose it there. If I had to guess, chances are reasonable that it'll be printed in the upcoming core set, or potentially one of the other commander products coming out this year. If it's in none of those, then it'll probably take a couple of years as it gets slipped in the files for sets currently in the early stages of production.

I mean, I hope that's what happened, but somehow I doubt it. The buy-a-box promo has always been unavailable outside the regular set (ignoring the collector boosters), so I feel like their logic might just have been that they wouldn't change this practice. And it gives them a convenient excuse to "reprint" the card and make it somewhat of a chase rare due to it never having existed before.
Either way, disappointing because (1) I and I suspect many others do NOT want to play the Godzilla versions of cards, and (2) this is actually a really unique, very cool design that would make a fun commander. And it's pretty much a 7/7 trample for 5 mana, so it could have applications in standard too.
Totally agreed with sentiment here, feels like complete false advertising with such tiny creatures in a set called behemoth. No x spells either ffs. I had discovered some massive Mana combos in standard before this set I was hoping to use, and now I have nothing to use them on. Seriously, where is my generic x burn spell at least?
Also, zero Planeswalker removal, guess they still haven't learned that lesson.
I do really like the concept of mutate though. Companion is interesting, but sadly the ones they made are all pretty much awful.

They very much did not have Zilortha in the set at any point. Maro specifically said that part of the reason it wasn't in the collector booster is because they did not commission art for it, which they would have if it had been in the set anywhere close to printing. It's more likely that they knew they were going to do the Godzilla promo, designed a godzilla-esque card, and made that the Buy a Box promo. It doesn't look like they intended to put the card in the set at any point, because as mentioned they always have the buy a box be unique. And so they probably saw it as a choice between "make the buy a box godzilla" and "not", and they're clearly going to choose to loop the buy a box into the promo if they can.
You would think that the normal version would be part of the collector's booster pack while the special version is the b-a-b promo, a shake-up of the formula if you will.

It doesn’t stack power and toughness you want the side with a bigger power and toughness ontop
No, but there are quite a few mutators that do give some form of P/T boost whenever they mutate.
No only the +1/+1 counters still count regardless which creature has it.

For now?
Perhaps one day there'll be an "alt-art" printing in a commander set.
