Well, Gavi's deck is pretty much immediately worth it on cost. All four of those cards were going to be on my singles shopping list for upgrades, and that would have set me back $35 on their own (if Fluctuator was even in stock). Great cards for the deck, two of which are amazing reprints for availability and cost control.
So Drift probably isn’t showing up in Ikoria set proper....where it would make sense. It wouldn’t even be a silver bullet for mutate because they just get all the creatures in a mutate pile back.

I hope the other decks get good reprints as well. I'm trying to think of some of the best reprints possible for each deck...
For counter matters Skullbriar would be pretty good, especially as people started buying it out 'cause of what the Commander does. Really stick it to those trying to bump that price up, like with Fluctuator and how it gained about $20 in the last few days.
