Fine, I'll build K'rrik.
Kinda annoyed this is limited to one deck. I get that it can be maximized to the Kathril, but I'm sure this wouldn't have been that much of a sore thumb in the other black decks.
This really should say "Command Zone or graveyard" IMO. Wouldn't affect the overall power level, would still be flavorful and would make Legends with dies triggers slightly less poopy.
It's still a pretty good card with lots of potential for abuse. Shame it doesn't work with the "Commander Storm" cycle and the new Human Tribal Commander.

All true. Elenda the Dusk Rose would have liked this.
Still, this is a nice boon for all other decks that can play black and need their commander. I'll definitely be running it in my Vilis deck. Even though he won't be on board to get you the benefit from the life loss, he's still a really expensive guy that tends to get targeted right away and I'd much rather use this than put him into my graveyard to reanimate - lately, that has become a liability because opponents will use their reanimate spells on him too.
This honestly makes three decks I've always wanted to make possible-ish. Phage, the black knight that wants to be in the graveyard to be able to cast (can't think of the name), and the black Elder Dino (again can't think of the name).
its neat, but i think its also one of those things that really won't see play shortly after release. are your commanders really dying that frequently? high mana ones get protected or win in short order, cheap ones are... well cheap. command beacon does see play, but at the same time i rarely see it actually get used. i very rarely see commander tax inhibit anyone these days honestly because of the super abundance of rocks and ramp.
Bonkers at first glance, but then you realize the clunkiness puts it in the same spectrum as Riptide Laboratory and Unholy Grotto for their respective tribes, albeit with slightly fewer hoops. Good, but not amazing. Could be bananas with a way to cheat Kokusho, the Evening Star into play, though.
THIS IS STUPID!!!
vampire hexmage and Hex parasite IMMEDIATELY COMES TO MIND!
There is also that new land that allows you to move counters...
You can also sacrifice this and bring it back with graveyard shenanigans...
This card will be good.
Dunes of Zairo
SHANDALAR
Innistrad - The Darkest Night

Commander: Allies & Adversaries
Don’t forget flicker and bounce it’s only 2 mana to recast
And lifegain decks can out run the soul counters easily

Oh, and PHAGE decks need this, of course.
Tetzimoc, Primal Death
You're welcome.
Thank you so much! I do everything from my phone lately so I couldn't look it up at the time!
