-Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, create an X/X blue Shark creature token with flying, where X is that spell's converted mana cost.
-Cycling X1U(X1U, Discard this card: Draw a card.)
-When you cycle Shark Typhoon, create an X/X blue Shark creature token with flying.
It's a bit pricey, but aside from that it's a homerun. Great in creatureless or creature light decks, cycling is great, and the cycling trigger is optional. Add in a really well executed pop culture reference and I'm happy with it.
I guess if you're going to make a Sharknado card, you either do it in an Un-set or in the set with all the big dumb Godzillas featuring jet fighters in the art. Wow.
OK, between Lukka, all the Godzilla cards, King Kong, Jaws and now this, this whole set seems hellbent on making references that make me laugh out loud.
As for the card itself, it's technically one of those "overpriced do-nothing Enchantment" cards, but it works very well in Fires of Invention decks, and I could see some Fires builds running this as a sideboard option against Control. It's either a very threatening Enchantment that racks up quick advantage if left unchecked or an uncounterable big flier that draws you a card and allows you to get around Fires's casting restriction at your opponent's turn.
Getting tired and fed up with art references to typhoons/hurricanes depicted as tornadoes, frankly. Yes, a typhoon is a vortex, but on a far larger scale. This is a water spout. Ugh. I’ve been longing for a blue card to depict a typhoon/hurricane and here we are, the moment arrives and I get handed inaccurate crap.
Wow, this seems great. 2U for a 1/1 flying flash cantrip isn't bad, and the cycling scales up decently - not Krasis-level, but still decent. And the enchantment version is just bonkers.

Oh wow, I didn't even think of the possibilities that this has being a usually-uncounterable ability, not a spell. And I was thinking it was instants/sorceries only, not all non-creatures. Yeah, this seems great in fires! Why not even main deck, since it has such little downside?

as a weather dude i feel ya
Finally a fellow meteorology person who understands.
Frustrating inaccuracy aside, I wish this has been Kraken Typhoon or Octotyphoon or something. Making kraken or octopus tokens instead. But they stayed more true to the source material which is understandable

Honestly This seems like a pretty decent card for the Temur "Instants matter" commander. Cast a counter to protect your commander, get a dude, and make your commander bigger

This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
6 is a lot for a "do-nothing" at first, and this looks like a "cute" funny card, but its pushed so hard on every angle that this will be for sure a top notch constructed card.
But just cycling this to get a creature is good, as you get a card from cycling.
And if you CAN untap with this and go wild, well, thats a lot of tokens to block and every removal becomes more.
In commander its probably a pretty reasonable card for any blue deck, as it works on any non-creature spell, including artifacts, all the tutors and casting a pitch counterspell with this is just more value on the cake.

Solid card, splashable and at worst, you get a 1U draw a card effect.

Maybe one bright spot of our world today is that you get to just refer to Sharknado as "source material" and it actually makes sense

You missed a mode, for 2U its a flash chump blocker that draws a card.
Love the Sharknado reference personally dont get me wrong tthey were dreadful films but the card itself looks ok creating shark tokens when you cast a non creature spell because blue is full of them non creature spells

A shark marker for the spellslinger decks
Also a helluva pop culture reference.

"Blue" card depicting a hurricane. There you go.
As a fanatical player of Commence the Endgame, I can say that I love this card and will play it at FNM, at least.

Sometimes the world is fun
Indeed. I thought in Amonkhet there would have been a "Snakes on a Plane" card.
