So you can destroy a creature for 2B or any nonland permanent for WBG?
Yes. And that's a very nifty design choice.
It highlights the overlap between the allied pair and the common enemy while also demonstrating how they're different. I hope the rest do something similar like the white one dealing 3 damage to target attacking or blocking creature or any creature if BR was paid, that sort of thing.
It really does seem like the wording for this card is incomplete. By comparison, the Mythos of Snapdax card specifies that you get to choose what each player gets to keep if the RB is part of the total cost paid for it. This card should have been worded differently. Something like "Destroy target nonland creature. If GW was spent to cast this spell, destroy target nonland permanent instead."
Shouldn't have to infer what the card is trying to convey. As is, the whole "reading the card, explains the card." isn't clear with the current wording...
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)

I love that the cave painting art is being used and not just art for the walker guide and I love using fun new ways to have 3 color cards without needing to play all 3.

Is it just me or is the wording a little a confusing when compared to past cards with a similar "if paid with X" effects.
The wording is like that because when casting a spell, you choose targets before paying the cost. They are leaving it up to you to pay the correct cost for what you target, but they are ensuring that it is always a legal target, even if bad decision making could lead to a wasted spell.
Seb McKinnon makes an awesome art for an awesome new card. This is probably going to be a cycle. Mythos for each apex predator.

Otherwise its just a removal that will act as removal for creatures and planeswalkers (and occasionally the odd enchantment or artifact around).
