Well they are experimenting with a new way to do promos and, since the reaction here, i guess it will be a one time thing only

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

Are we sure about that? Magic Arena players hated playing Brawl for 10k gold, made a website so they can do matchmaking for free, and Wizards called it a success. Plus, if they ever listened to us, we'd have fetchlands every two sets.

My favorite thing about MTG Salvation is the "Ignore User" feature.
Instead of a trample counter, wouldn´t it be easier to say "As long as CREATURE is mutated, it has trample" just like Monstrosity works? It seems unnecessary to have counters for abilities

It's harder to track this. Also when mutated creature leaves the battlefield, the creature with trample would lose it. Writing "trample" in a piece of paper and putting it over a card for a permanent effect is sure easier. Also, we don't even know how the set works and we're figuring out the mechanics of Ikoria with little to no information. So far, all we know is that just like Amonkhet, prerelease packs will feature double sided ability counters and the theme of the set is "Make your own monster".

Well of course i'm assuming that people won't just complain here, but they will also "vote with their wallet".
Which probably won't happen since it never happens

This is fake. I'm portuguese and I noted that Godzilla, Primordial Champion has "When you cycle Titanote Rex..." It should be "When you cycle Godzilla, Primordial Champion..."
EDIT: I noted now that those cards have two name boxes lol
If these are real, which I'm leaning that they are, this is just art with a secondary name on it and if people are going to feel that the art on a card doesn't make it a Magic card then I'm going to point you to the art of Grasp of the Hieromancer or Serpentine Spike with CG that even an early 2000s movie would be ashamed of. Now THAT art isn't MTG.
Feel free to point out what the IP is for those cards. There's a whole gaggle of cards that uses another IP.
Why would you preorder a product blindly if you are going to cancel the order over any minor thing?
Since you feel you need to be disrespectful by calling my "rant" childish, I see no reason to explain much of anything to you. You're smart, you can figure out how preorders work.
Bolas was a moron. Instead of hoarding a bunch of minuscule zombies he could’ve waited to conquer Ikoria and thenuse these beasts in his quest for domination. Gatewatch would’ve been screweeeeddddd.
Anyway, it feels like someone in design was binge-watching the original Power Rangers during development.
I’m hoping those are just test names and modified cards because otherwise it’s a dead giveaway and feels like a giant (tee hee) turnoff. It might just be a clever way of stimulating attention during which the set’s release is delayed and people are getting antsy.
People nowadays are over thinking and over analyzing fakes like this one.
There are modern buildings and jets in the background pointed out by almost everyone in the earlier comments in the thread. They are not even legendary.
Even if this would be license, the nearest plausible of this kind of crossover is beyond UN-sets if this was part of a commander related set if there is a chance but not something that is part of the official narative in mtg universe.
As far as I remember the probable is just like this kind of collaboration.

I love when people try to be so damn smart and tend to get the opposite effect
they are not "the mainstream set". They are box toppers. Which maro said they were "something mtg has never done before". So saying "it's not like the other collaboration" isn't an argument.

I don't think it was pointed out yet, but if Spacegodzilla is real it has to be tri-color since it has a gold legendary frame, if it were 2-color the frame would've been just those 2 colors.

I'm bring that movie that have previous MTG collab to the discussion so people can compare because no one pointed it out in the earlier comments.
I'm not trying to be smart, your just being gullible to be fooled by this one and overthinking using that statement as a justify that probablity of this fakes being true.
I only pointed out the possibility with the sorcerers-apprentice mtg collab back in 2010 but with that statement the printing and theme in this godzilla mtg is to scattered around and disorganized by design and layout compare to the other collabs like the sorcerers-apprentice and the more recent Hasbro stuff.
Look even they are box-toppers they need alternate names like Ryperior said and most of are already faulty to begin with. Do you really expect a card named GODZILLA and a non-legendary? thats pretty much dumb.
Your just trying to find sense when it's not look your trying to give this fake a doubt because of this statement "something mtg has never been done before" ?? lol
Look even this collab sense has a decent visual composition and address everything that a mtg card does compare to that fake that you accept that fault in the design and missed stuff to be true because of this statement
"something mtg has never done before".
that's terrible analysis. Your using that statement as an excuse to an error not a new design and concept.

I'm not being gullible. I looked at the cards. I analyzed the cards. They are perfect. The template is perfect. The art is perfect. Wotc has even the right license to do that. So there is nothing wrong with the cards besides them being something new.

They will probably do 20, 30 or maybe even 40 box toppers (ultimate master had more than 40), they can't print so much legendary creatures in a non-dedicated set.

There is no fault. There is no error. You keep babbling about them being fauly without actually adressing what's wrong with their formatting.
If you think that someone would actually print and foil and commission art just for fake cards, you are to gullible one.
Also, they forged the box topper pack too?
You think that your closed mind is an objective proof, but it's not. Wizard is trying to expand its horizons and cross with other IPs, like D&D did.

Out of all the Kaijus King Ghidorah is the one that looks the most like a mtg character, it looks like something straight out of Tarkir
Then again considering how useful he was in the fight against Mechagodzilla maybe that's accurate.

But will never be part of the mainstream set.
This could be ammo for the future to do crossover characters that Hasbro has the thumbs up from in black border
