When theyre getting ripped off, sustaining a poor business model that exploits them, and ultimately pushing the over all game to suffer?
Absolutely. Yes.
Additionally, if you feel ashamed about your purchase because of what someone else says about it? Well maybe skip that purchase next time because you clearly had no confidence in it or you wouldnt feel that way about iy.
Sorry, you don't get to choose how other people feel about your choice of words. That should be readily apparent in this day and age.
so is secret lair like a monthly thing or what? I feel like we've gotten one every month at least.
At first I thought it was kind of a nice idea for a product but too much of anything is always a bad thing.
They will milk it as long as there are enough pigeons to buy it. We will see if they ever print something I want/need at the price point I want. Somehow I doubt it. If they do I will pop, if not, they can sit and spin.

Can we cut out the name-calling, please? I don't see anyone putting the WotC detractors on blast, calling them entitled neckbeards, or explicating on how they'd have more disposable income if they'd only develop higher aspirations than McDonald's fry cook. We get it, you don't agree with Wizard's new marketing strategy. That doesn't make it okay to insult the people who want this product.
I like the character and some of the artwork but damn some of the flavor texts are off
The Thalia with the Hellvault being destroyed in the back reads "I've sworn to protect the people from the horrors that would destroy them - even if those horrors are the angels themselves" that aludes to Shadows over Innistrad but not to original Inistrad storyline.
The Thalia with the Geist of Sant Traft in the back reads "I would rathar be a heretic than betray the my conscience" thalia, heretic cathar but could easily be swaped with the first SL thalia's flavor text. Also that art looks almost like another character too blonde comparated to other art decipting Thalia, if the setting of the art had sun light then it would be ok.
The only Thalia i think is perfect is the last one were she is speaking to the counsil (good art and matching flavor text), the next i would even bother to pick would be the one on the Hellvault, the rest is trash.

If it quacks like a duck and acts like a duck, the feather fits. I'd suggest growing a thicker skin instead of responding to every single perceived slight. Oh and you are on my ignore list now, feel free to reciprocate or not.
Back to the topic at hand. Hard pass for me on this one. I'm waiting for something I want. I am a discriminating pigeon.

I need to grow thicker skin, but you’re too scurred to read another cogent response from the person who called out your toxicity? The irony is delicious.

Seems like you just went through a whole tirade, name-calling included, against detractors and then covered yourself by saying that no one was doing that here.

A tirade is, by definition, inherently long-winded. If you mean that I levied a brief - but sharp - criticism against those posters by modeling how their own behavior lacks civility, you would be correct. Seems fairly transparent to me.
Wizards of the coast is greedy because they dont release a secret lair with liliana of the veil. She is the poster girl of magic. So I wont believe the feminist trend. They dont want more women in the game they want more money.
Someone remind me if Sigarda possessed Avacyn's spear in the final battle on Innistrad? Because I know Sigarda gave Thalia the spear she was using to fight Brisela. Just wondering if the art is off or not.

You don't remember quite right. Rem Karolus one of Thalia's cathars took the spear from the Cathedral. Its magic made it so it couldn't be touched by people but when they brought it to Thalia the power form Saint Traft allowed her to pick it up. Still, it was too large for her to wield considering it was a spear and Avacyn was huge while Thaila isn't exactly large. She used it as a banner to confirm people's fears and give them hope. When her normal weapon, a sword, was lost against Brisela she used the spear to finish her off.

If you find it appropriate, after asking to "cut out the name-calling", to use terms like neckbeards and talk down to people who find themselves desperate enough to work low income jobs, I prefer you do it and own up to it or don't do it all, instead of essentially going "Hey, no one here is saying these insulting things that I'll list in this here comment, so be nice!" (paraphrasing).
And once again, I do like this product in regards to the cards themselves (overall, as I hinted at the heavyhanded focus of Thalia's confidence by having all four of her quotes start with the word "I", "I've" being also short for "I have") and I do acknowledge concerns regarding behind-the-scenes shenanigans on Wizard's part.

It’s not appropriate, that’s the entire point. You’re confusing hyperbole and rhetoric for an emotive rant. I find it... disconcerting that you keep ignoring the context for my post.
People please just knock this BS off. No one is forced into buying this product and if they do then they shouldn't be ashamed of doing so. It's about preference and what makes you tick. You have no right to determine or decide what I like or do not.
End of conversation. Next!

I am so in love with this Secret Lair product line! Keep em coming! I'm sorry some of you don't like/understand it. I get it, I feel the same way about Standard. You get your Embercleave and I get my Slivdrazi Monstrosity. Something for everyone!

Wait, wouldn't more women playing (therefore more players buying product) bring them more money? What even is this argument, I don't understand at all?

Because at the end of the day they always choose subpar cards for these "inclusive" products. Take this for example, wizards could easily have choose Liliana of the veil for a secret lair. She is the better value out of the box for multiple reasons
-The card is more expensive
-The character is more important. liliana appears prominently in the youtube ad
-She represent a powerful and independent woman both in the lore and the card (Liliana of the veil)
-She is not in the reserved list
Make my words they will never release a liliana of the veil secret lair

WotC should be very careful with SL tough. They're pushing the series out so frequently that customers might become sated just as quickly.

Instagram link is down.
On the cards: So, four different flavor texts that all have the character say "I" as the very first word of their quote?
Here's a link to the twitter post: https://twitter.com/MTGSecretLair/status/1233588613360709632?s=20
First one starts with "I've" but yes, you're correct.
