Ruthless Regiment will have White in it. Mardu?
Arcane Maelstrom will have Blue in it. Temur?
Symbiotic Swarm will have Black in it. Abzan?
Timeless Wisdom will have Red in it. Jeskai?
Enhanced Evolution will have Green in it. Sultai?
I don't think these names fit any of the Shard colors, or allied colors for that matter.
All I know is one deck will have White in it, one will have Blue in it, one will have Black in it, one will have Red in it, and one will have Green in it.
Well we know that Abzan and Temur are missing a precon for completing the wedge color cycle. We are missing Azorius, Gruul and Dimir for the allied color pairs. And Orzhov, Boros, Golgari and Simic for the enemy color pairs.
Wedge:
Vampiric Bloodlust from C2017 was Mardu
Mystic Intellect from C2019 was Jeskai
Faceless Menace from C2019 was Sultai
Shards:
Arcane Wizardry from C2017 was Grixis
Adaptive Enchantment from C2018 was Bant
Subjective Reality from C2018 was Esper
Nature's Vengeance from C2018 was Jund
Primal Genesis from C2019 was Naya
Allied Colors:
Feline Ferocity from C2017 was Selesnya
Merciless Rage from C2019 was Rakdos
Enemy Colors:
Exquisite Invention from C2018 was Izzet
We will get 5 Commander Decks in Ikora, 2 with Zendikar and 2 Decks with Commander Legends, so 9 precons. We are missing exactly 9 color combination for completing all cycles. This is most likely coincidence but who knows.
I still think they're monocolor. They're meant to replace Planeswalker decks for the set, and they're mechanically tied to Ikoria. I don't think they're going to make these too complex.
Where have they said this? As Im aware the planeswalker decks are moving to being core sets and this is the "yearly commander decks" we normally get in late summer/ fall just tied with a set this time.
They said it in the article where they first announced them. Same with the Zendikar decks.
And they've been doing four decks for years. Suddenly they're doing five again, and replacing an entry-level product with them? Yeah, I'm sticking with the mono-color idea. Could be wrong, we'll see.

They have done 4 deck for 3 years and 5 decks for 5 years. They made monocolor decks only one time and used planeswalker commanders the help them feel new and exciting.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I get associating maelstrom with Maelstrom Wanderer, but Arcane Maelstrom sounds more white/blue/red to me, while both Time and Wisdom are closer to green/blue.

I don’t think jeskai and sultai is happening
Those color combos were last year
Secondly like I realized are we automatically throwing out the possiblity of 4-color decks that was like the most popular decks of all edh pre-cons I’m aware it’s the most difficult but it’s no where near out of possiblity

They are going back to five decks, so having a full cycle is likely (like all shards or all enemy pairs), even if that means repeating one of last year's combinations.
Four color decks would be very popular, yes, but also unlikely. They only did it because of the Partners, and I don't think they'll do it again, nor try to design ten to fifteen new four-color legends.
The second most needed combinations are wedges, and they are way easier to design.

I guess that’s possible but reminder of no more color focus
But they could do it for this one acception for a love letter to the first ever pre-con commander decks which were wedge colors
And you know what the main set could have shard colored legends and maybe a 5-color legend since they plan on having atleast one during each rotation for brawl

The first set of precons were the 5 wedges, dating back to 2011. The 5 enemy pairs were all done in 2015.
I am just talking about the 4-deck per year precons (2017 - 2019). The other ones were done in cycles. Only a colorless deck is missing if you consider all precon decks.
I don't think that they will repeat the color combination of the mentioned previous decks but who knows.
I'm fairly confident the distinction is meaningless. Wizards cares only about filling a theme for any given year, not establishing color parity among several disparate sets, regardless of how many individual decks there are.

You keep reminding people of the fact that they aren’t focusing on color anymore but in the same thread saying that they won’t do Sultai or Jeskai because they made those last year. Do they care about color or not? 🙄
Azorius for Timeless Wisdom would be ideal. I don’t think we’ve ever had a commander deck that is only UW. Or a cycle of ally colors in General? I do suspect it may be Jeskai though which isn’t as fun for me. I’d like some more UW legends
It wasn’t just the boosters that they took photos off
Sadly there were smart enough to flip the big card the wrong way and censor the color combo so we still have to wait
But isn’t funny it’s he same box color as Yidris deck and that’s a 4 color deck
.... 4 foils?

This is my first thought, either partner (with) or they are foiling the "minor commander" they have been putting in decks. I personal hope for partner (with) to hopefully help with four color pairs.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
I could also see them foiling out previous legends from earlier Commander sets. For example, we don't have a foil Ghave, Guru of Spores, and by the names of two of these decks, I could see him making an appearance.
mmmh.... i think that ikoria will have some faction organization, either bicolor or tricolor

Whoa didn’t see that they upping it to 4 new legends
So 20 new legendaries for commander? Wow
Maybe they're foiling out the legend in the deck now that's usually not all of the required colors to be the general. Like uhh, Xancha, K'irrik, etc.
