Holy guacamole that Ink-Eyes art is amazing, easily my favorite one in the entire Secret Lair lineup so far. The other ones are also good, I especially like the Pack Rat one, but Ink-Eyes is the standout.
This one is not for me, but that’s OK. I applaud Wizards for continuing this series. Kaleidoscope Killers happened to be for me, and who knows when the next one will also be for me if they continue this series for the coming years.
How much further are they going to push this sort of model before consumer exhaustion sets in?
I think I'll skip this one. Thereos is coming out this week and now a special rat pack at the end of the month? A little too much if you ask me and a little too close to the holidays many of us are still reeling from.
Why not just throw in the towel and print the next three sets in February?
So only a single one... Hm... I fear the shipping costs to Europe will make this one not very worth it!
I wonder if it will continue to contain a stained-glass planeswalker. Would be nice.
I'm actually betting that WotC inverted the model this time. We'll get a chance to order the individual boxes first then at the end of the cycle, they'll announce you can buy the entire set at a discount. Then we'll just sit back and watch the **** storm as the player base throws a fit.

If you're using that logic to not buy these now, I wouldn't count on that happening.
Had no idea Marrow-Gnawer had gotten that expensive. I was about to blast it for low value then I saw that had shot up. I'm sure price will come down big time after release though.

Marrow-Gnawer is the third most popular mono-black commander on EDH-Rec. I remember trying to build a Rat deck around when Dominaria came out (to capitalize on Rat Colony) but by the time I got around to it, Marrow-Gnawer had spiked in value.
The art for these are fantastic, but much like the last Lairs I am not going to buy them. I'm not paying a premium for cards I can already get for much less or already have.

No... read the other post. It's too soon. If this was released in February, maybe. March? Absolutely. But January? So close to TBD's release, Christmas and the last SL product? I'll just dump the $39.99 on a reserved list card and call it a day.
Then get lost. This thread is not about Theros, so don't waste your time as well as ours.
I for one love this; Marrow Gnawer was actually kind of pricey. Not that this will drop the price, but it will increase a bit of circulation for those ratatouille fans out there.
Really hope that dropping random secret lairs at random dates throughout the year with a very short notice will not become a trend in the future.
You can bet it will. People will pay for it being exclusive rather than the product itself.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

I'm legitimately not happy with this. I don't make a whole lot of money, but I saved up and bought a foil Marrow Gnawer for Christmas. And now this gets annouced and will surely tank the price of the original.
More Secret Lair Fun, for people who enjoy this sort of thing.

But this is certainly the way way to sell this limited editions see how many buyers then start printing

My friends are fawning over this set and are talking about making rat-themed commander decks.
Meanwhile, I am over here quietly chortling with my Hungry Lynx
