Escape — 2U, Exile five other cards from your graveyard. "There comes freedom with the understanding that there is only one way."
-Nyklos, Philosopher of Meletis
Imagine Think Twice, but you get a 3rd/4th/5th reactivation for the low cost of 5 cards in your graveyard at a time.
Sweet Oblivion 1U (Uncommon)
Sorcery
Target player puts the top four cards of their library into their graveyard.
Escape—3U, Exile four cards from your graveyard.
The think twice variant is really bad. I get they are trying to make the exile clause a steep cost for all the escape cards to make them less abusable, but 5 cards with no fetch lands will likely happen once a game and will keep you off of other graveyard synergies. On the other hand Lochmere Serpent is looking really good as a way to shut these cards down.

Is it just me or is Glimpse of Freedom straight up outclassed by Radical Idea I mean sure there's that tiny chance you get to escape the same Glimpse 2 times in a single game but if you are drawing into draw cards?

Honestly I like that they tried to make a flavorful mechanic for this set, but Escape kinda sucks. I would have loved for Retrace to come back instead.
There's a lot of these Escape cards that have exiling other cards in the yard as part of the cost...maybe I'm jumping the gun, but would a card that reduces the Escape cost by requiring fewer exiles be a possibility? Otherwise, I don't see myself playing many Escape cards, especially ones the requiring a lot of exiles.

That's not the worst idea but Fluctuator saw hardly any play in its day. Problem with these types of cards is that they do effectively nothing on their own.

Another card from the MtG South Korean Facebook page. At worst, it fuels its own escape cost, so you can do it again.
Or in a Madmen-style deck. (Laboratory Maniac, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries).
Mirror match would be hilarious as well.
It's a bad Oona's Grace.

But this costs a lot of mana and cards to even get 2+ activations out of it.
The bad thing with Escape is that you cant really play many of them, so unlike Flashback its somewhat of a mechanic that eats itself.
