Communion with the Stars 3U
Enchantment- Aura
Enchant creature or enchantment
Enchanted permanent becomes an enchantment and loses all other card types "Take your place among the stars"
- Kruphix, god of horizons.
This a "functional reprint" of Enchantmentize.
EDIT: Also previewed here is a Banishing Light reprint. Can someone translate the flavor text?
That's a fun variant of your standard Claustrophobia type blue limited card. Kind of wish it was 3cmc to push it more and see what it could do.
I wonder what the timeline on this was compared to Enchantmentize in mystery booster.

I understand what this does to a creature, but I feel like I'm missing something. What does this do to an enchantment? Enchantment creatures are already covered by the creature type. Is it for auras? Does that do anything?

Mainly, it means the aura doesn't fall of when the target stops being a creature. It also allows you to hit enchantment artifacts if that ever comes up. It doesn't do anything against auras.
This very much looks similar to what Kruphix did in Theros 1 when he bound the gods into his tree.

If anyone remembers Soul Sculptor from Urza's Saga then they'll feel a throwback to that era when turning things into (sleeping) enchantments was a thing, albeit casually.

That was largely because turning sleeping enchantments into things was a thing. I used to love my Hidden Stag + Wrath deck, it was the closest we had to indestructible at the time. Mind you, friends were playing Trade Wind Rider lock and kicking my ass but it was a fun time to be playing magic. I've probably got about 20 Opal Acroliths sitting in a box in my closet.
What happens with sub-types? Like, basic land types gives abillities to cards. If it erases them (I think it should - you need a card type to have a sub type for that card type), then this will in effect remove basic lands abillity to produce mana (or lands with mana abillities only from their basic land types, like temple garden).

This can't enchant a land, so that's not a problem. But if it enchants Dryad Arbor, it's no longer a forest, and can't tap for mana. However if you animate and then enchant Celestial Colonnade, it can still tap for mana as an enchantment, and even still animate.
im Big dumb. I thought this said permanent not creature.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone

Wow, they are really going out of their way to make all the interesting stuff cost too much for Zur to grab.
Note that I am not talking about the 6 drops that would be busted at 3. I am talking about the 4 drops or red cards that would be fine at 3cmc in any combination of Esper colors

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
I like this card it is both removal and anti removal at the same time. Need to get an annoying creature of the board or wish your soul warden was an ajani's welcome. Well here ya go.
You can also stop Theros gods from being creatures with One with the Stars - regardless of devotion, they lose their creature type. It's... something at least?

This is actually why I like it. It protects important utility creatures from damage and removal. You often want such creatures but need to protect them and this can do that. Plus it can be a Pacifism. Plus it can contribute to enchantment-matters strategies. Not powerful, but fairly unique and interesting and I appreciate that.

The flavor text of banishing light is something akin to:
The champion stretched out her hand to grab a stone, and Heliod held out the sun. — The Theriade
