This is actually fairly saucy in Sultai Dredge for Pioneer, I think. It lets you dump Narcomoebas and Amalgams and gain a little life/card selection for your next turn. It might not be markedly better than current options, but it's got interesting build-around potential.
Will snag 2-3 of these for sure.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
Saw this earlier before anyone posted it but was so meh’d out by it I did my care to post it. Pretty weak for a rare. More disappointing is their choices for what events get depicted at what rarities. The end of the war against the Titans is an uncommon but a minor side character gets a rare?
Wow, someone went a bit bonkers with the Chia sauce lol.
Feels like it's one of those "build-around-me" rares that will be a Johnny's wet dream. I guess it could work with Liliana, the Last Hope but outside of that I'm not sure how else you could pull it off without going zombies full tilt. And even then there are better options.
EDH fodder maybe?

Card rarity is based on limited power level, constructed relevance, and niche/staple. I don't remember it ever having anything to do solely with flavor. Now, some flavor things do naturally lend themselves to a rarity.
Already you guys are failing to remember something is
Is tymaret one of those titans that was trapped?
If so that confirms a cycle
But zombie tribal will like this card
Tymaret is the king of the Returned city of Odunos. He's pretty violent even for the standards of the living, so a call to arms like this is normal thing for him. The mask statue might be a deep cut on Greek myth.
Sure, there is a chance of spending $4 on a booster and getting the Mythic Rare $30 super card. There is also a chance of surviving putting your tongue in a light socket.
seriously though the only official blue spoiler from the main set is one common, so deal with it
I think most people are dealing with spoiler season just fine, thank you.
Always here for my fans, sis
I think this card could find a home, many decks are keen on self-mill and Zombie support, but I'm not sure I'm a fan. Aside from the potency of filling the grave fuelling better cards, I just don't think this card does much without significant support and I think there are better options if that's what you're looking for.
This reminds me of History of Benalia. Three mana for two 2/2s over two turns with the final mode being a reward for having more creatures of the created tokens tribe in play. Not a bad card to be reminded of, I like this design.

QFT. Despite the final payoff being less splashy than giving all of the tribe +2/+1, we are also looking at a rare vs. a mythic - which was played significantly. Furthermore, we still don't know how many "escape" cards will be floating around, as well as other graveyard shenanigans (Desecrated Tomb? and we most likely will see a new crop of saga support Keldon Warcaller.
Judging a card like this when there are still 200+ cards of mystery - when this is released - and 1000 cards following it before it rotates is terribly rash. Unique and strange cards often have the most potential for impacting this game much more than obviously powerful cards. I would wager that for the first 5 years of magic, more tournament decks had shivan dragon than bazaar of bagdad, but 20 years down the line, shivan is a nostalgic piece of bulk trash and bazaar is the cornerstone to several legacy decks. (feel free to insert your own favorite sleeper card).

It's such a shame that Desecrated Tomb rotated out. I loved playing it with Muldrotha, the Gravetide. While this probably won't quite hit the heights of History, this card does have a couple of advantages. For one, the mana cost is easier and more friendly to multicolored decks, and the other is that zombies generally have an easy time swarming, letting the third verse have a powerful effect.

3 sets vs 6sets humm (Mirari was one of the most important things in Odisey+Onslaught blocks) Remember that it was almost a MacGuffin before people started to use it to shapereality(Ixidor did not use it, but fits in word) (not including our favorite Cephalid that wanted to make a giant tsunami on Otaria or our Favorite Avian that wanted to make a Jihad, neither other minor users). Also remember that it was used in Kamahl's sword and before it was in Krosa mutating living things around the area.
Keep in mind that the saga tells every place that had some unnatural event that can be related to the mirari, thus all those 6 sets.

True. I don't think it has uses for older formats tho having to exile something for a zombie is not that great unless your deck has lots of enchantments or no recursion (for creatures in the graveyard). Maybe it can see play in Pioneer. For standard it might fit in the mono b deck.
