Here is the schedule of when they’ll be available for purchase, as well as the names of each:

Secret Lair Bundle (all seven drops) - 12/2, 9am PT, $199.99
Bitterblossom Dreams - 12/3, 9am PT
Eldraine Wonderland - 12/4, 9am PT
Restless in Peace - 12/5, 9am PT
Seeing Visions - 12/6, 9am PT
<explosion sounds> - 12/7, 9am PT
Kaleidoscope Killers - 12/8, 9am PT
OMG KITTIES! - 12/9, 9am PT, $39.99

Drops will contain between three and seven predetermined cards and tokens in a customized collector box, costing either $29.99 or $39.99 depending on the drop – some of which will use premium foil cards as well. A bundle will also be available for $199.99 that guarantees you all seven drops.

Additionally, ordering a drop will get you codes for digital goodies in MTG Arena and Magic Online. You’ll get the cards themselves in Magic Online, but Heggen explained that since most of the cards in this series don’t exist in Arena, you’ll instead get sleeves as “expressions of the drop’s theme.”

As for what the other drops in that list will include, Wizards of the Coast said it will be showing off more them today on its official Twitter account, so you can keep your eyes peeled there for further reveals.

Well 40$ for each one and there’s 7 so that’s 280$ of value so you save about 80$ if you buy the secret lair bundle

I'd like to know what's in these before committing to the $200 purchase of all 7.

Seems like an ok middle ground of things like FTV/masterpieces/mythic sets. Kind of a bummer they're only available for 24hrs each.

They are having social media people preview each one today every hour then we will get an article with the full listing by the end of the day.

Just make it limited print run like master sets

The upside to this change is that it's printed to demand within that 24hr period. If you can place your order, you will get your product (unlike the Mythic sets).

The downside is if you can't make the date or just forget, tough luck and get it from a reseller. A slightly longer period would be most appreciated (48hrs? A week?).

Also, I don't think I read anywhere that they'll be limiting how many a customer can purchase.

The different decks all have different types of art that aren't traditionally thought of as magic art. The cat one have the cute internet meme art but not all the card will. For the eldraine one for example I'm guessing more showcase type fairy tale book art.

It is that. People can order as much as they can during that day, they will print to cover the orders

God I hope I (my wallet) can ignore these. If Cats are any indication, I can and will.

Given the wonderful art of Eldraine, I would probably get Eldraine Wonderland.

If you put these in your deck you at least can be sure nobody will steal it, as everyone is just too disgusted of them.

But maybe someone will just burn it or ban you from the store.

I mean I'm with you here, but it's possible that it's $29.99 so it would be cheaper than going on tcgplayer and buying a Bitterblossom. Still... meh

oh look, Wizards selling 1 card and 4 tokens for $30, but they DEFINITELY don't recognize the secondary market

This. WotC saw how bad they screwed up with those kinds of products that sold out within minutes and massive sudden loads of traffic that broke the store, and now they are experimenting with new ways to screw up. In theory, it's a good idea - instead of one single, massive bursts of people rushing to the store, now it'll be more evenly distributed throught the 24 hour period.
With that said, I do agree 24 hours seems like a pretty limited timespan, especially when we're talking about WotC. I mean, it's not like WotC has a good history of handling IT infrastructure problems.

That said, these themes seem... fine, but not exciting. Cute cats is a clever theme but nothing I'd drop 40 bucks into. Bitterblossom Dreams could have a lot of potential, maybe a full set of arts reminiscent of Lorwyn's style, maybe with Rebecca herself coming back to do some art? Eldraine Wonderland seems fine but sounds like more of the same. Seeing Visions and Kaleidoscope Dreams are vague enough that they could go either way, but neither sound very promising, and everything else just sounds bad.

EDIT: Derp, just saw the Bitterblossom one. That's super boring, but still, I guess that's one way of making reprints of overpriced cards without upsetting the secondary market?

Or I could go buy a nearly indistinguisable Bitterblossom proxy online for a few bucks, sleeve it up and 99% of players would never know.

Hard pass.

Seeing Visions makes me think of Serum Visions, Ponder, Preordain, etc. Kaleidoscope Dreams seems multicolor (5 color?) and I hope it has appropriately trippy or cool art.

I think, based on just seeing the cats and Bitterblossom, this can be a step in the right direction even if some of these sets flop. They can really do any number of themes to fit any demand, and people can buy to fit their personal demand (someone may have several decks that need a Bitterblossom(s))
