I really like this. If you haven't played your land for turn the turn you cast this even if you hit three lands it is still pure value. Most commander decks are 1/3-2/5 lands so I can see many Gruul decks playing this.
Sure, there is a chance of spending $4 on a booster and getting the Mythic Rare $30 super card. There is also a chance of surviving putting your tongue in a light socket.

Agreed, but the rarity and the exiling is most likely the side effect of this not having blue. Red's card draw in the last few standard sets has kinda been exile the top. Multiple Chandra's have this, for instance.
I'm glad they're doing these as "until the end of your next turn". These effects essentially sucked before they extended it beyond the original turn you cast it.
