I like these lands. It seems like they should be in pretty much every EDH deck that shares the color.
Maybe not in 4-5 colour manabases as those are often light on basics (and their bonus isn't good enough IMHO to be worth coming into play tapped), but I'd definitely run these in all mono, two and three color decks if they aren't too expensive.

Don't forget that fetchable dual lands will also meet the criteria.
Dude the blue is no question the best one so far that scry ability will clearly make it playable in eternal formats
Now I haven’t kept up with legacy or modern play in a while but certainly they haven’t slowed down so much that a 4 mana tap ability is a reasonable thing in those. So far this one and the black one are maybes for me in commander.

Yeah, nothing in the text specifies that the Island must be a "Basic Island." It's worded that way because whenever shocklands are legal, Wizards likes to throw them some kind of cool interaction that's all upsides, except fetchlands. They tried that only once in Standard and everyone agreed never again.

I wonder if WotC has market research that indicates legendary lands are unpopular for some reason because these absolutely should have been. This oddly happens in cycles. I remember the Kamigawa block having many legendary lands and the Ravnica came with lands having legendary names depicting specific places (Sunhome, Duskmantle, etc) that weren't legendary. We recently had Ixalan which had several legendary lands and now these specific castles that aren't legendary. Why?
At least the cards are useful. We're clearly getting a larger mono-color focus soon with all these goodies.
This one i could see play in modern and legacy, maybe in Miracles shell.
I guess legendary would be too much of a restriction, since they already enter the battlefield tapped, unless you control a land with the appropriate subtype. The flavour problem is they point to specific locations, instead of a generic one like "island" but at least you can run 4 and not have an extra risk in mana issues.
Arkham, the 1920's. Investigators battle horrors from beyond time and space, risking life and sanity while conspiracies of cultists and malign servitors seek gateways for their outer gods to return...
Soon, the stars will be right! Great Cthulhu shall rise!

Maro has said they don't want multiple copies being dead in your hand. He's wanted to separate the legendary rule from the flavor for years, but it's not happening.

5 (you gotta tap it too so 5) mana is a lot, even late game, to leave open just to.. scry 2.
That said theres about 8 edh decks i want to at least try it out in, but im positive itll never be activated and will be cut for a basic instead.
Blue and white are pretty great.
Green is alright.
Red and Black are meh.
nice cycle all around, not a single reason in the world not to include a copy or 2 in any monocolor deck in the existence of the game, really.
Red is a pretty strong pump. In my Aurelia deck that +1/+0 can go a long way. Imagine it in a Krenko Goblin tribal deck...
