The part Disney omitted, of course. (Old fairytales really love eye balls)
To be fair on Disney they did Charles Perrault version (glass slipper, pumpkin carriage, fairy godmother) which didn't have the eye goring.
They did let it slide for the movie version of Into the Woods tho.

Because the stage version of Into the Woods had both stepsisters losing their eyes as well. they didn't omit much (sans the mysterious man and No More...)
Nah this takes 4 turns to get out and it's a pretty dead play otherwise. Probably more useful in w/b lifegain than anywhere else.
It is funny though, if you can hold em off with cards like Disfigure, Cry of the Carnarium, etc. This card in multiples makes the game nearly unwinnable for Cavalcade.
For someone playing against this card, does it deal damage as soon as combat play starts to the active player or does it wait for combat phase to be over before it deals damage? I'm asking in a situation where the attacking player is at 4 life and the defending player was at 15 life. I am curious to see who and what should have happened.

I am no rules expert but when your opponent declares which creatures are attacking and taps them (unless they have vigilance but even so they are attacking so will trigger RoR) the trigger for each goes on the stack. So no it doesn't wait for combat to end, the damage from the card will occur before creatures assign their combat damage. In your example if your opponent is at 4 life, announces an attack with 4 total 4/4 creatures presenting lethal to your 15 life, the 4 damage on the stack will kill off your opponent before combat damage is assigned. You win.

I was at 4 life, my opponent was at 15 and I had 2 7/7, an 8/5 with trample, two 6/6 creatures I wanted to hit against this card for my question is was it an hail mary and suicide move. I'm just curious which would have hit first. When we played we both died. I was wondering if that should or should not have happened.
I am assuming your opponent had Revenge of Ravens out. When you announced your attack with those 4 creatures, the triggers would have went on the stack and with nothing else happening you would have lost during your Declare Attackers stage/step. You at 0 life, your opponent at 19 life. You wouldn't have even entered declare blockers step and most certainly had not gone to the assign damage step. It's okay, let your friend know you weren't aware of the ruling and give them the victory for that game.
