The 3 little pigs and this is probably the real big bad wolf since it’s being previewed with the 3 little pigs here
I don't see how this is the "real" big bad wolf compared to the other, especially when in fables there are many big bad wolves.

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
If it's true that this is actually the Big Bad Wolf because of the proximity to the spoiling of the Three Little Pigs, it's odd that Blow Your House Down was spoiled with the other, rare wolf.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Wolf's Quarry would "work" if you didn't need to pay 2 for the life gain. Like this is essentially 6 mana for 3 1/1s, with an additional 6 mana to gain 9 life. I know this is just a common, but I don't see it being remotely good. I guess it depends on how grindy this limited format will be - if you need chump blockers and are playing the Food deck, I guess this could have a necessary function.
I think the goal is more to witches oven these things into multiple food tokens.
I mean, I'm skeptical about food tokens in general since nothing really seems to actually push them, but treasure tokens and clue tokens were both pretty good outside of just their actual use as card draws or mana bumps.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
That wolf is certaily pushed for a common, especially with trample tacked on.
The 3 pigs are too weak though, but super flavorful in that they become Food when they die.
It's kinda the point that they're weak, makes them easy to kill and turn into Food. Just remember you get three creatures for Convoking, three artifacts for Improvising, and 9 life, all for 4GG.

Six mana for three guys that make food when they die. Wow, that's bad. Four tokens would've been okay, and 3GG would again have been okay, but neither would have been amazing even at instant speed. The food barely helps.
It's just weird to me that they would pair this extremely efficient common with this unplayably inefficient one. If the three little pigs are too weak for limited, they're too weak for anything, and I wouldn't draft that in any green deck.
The wolf on the other hand is first-pickable in a mediocre pack.
The tokens are more of a "Engine" for the deck that wants to get as much food as possible.
You need some creatures to sacrifice and these give you a food token.
If you can make a deck full of food stuff, this might at least be a "thing" that works.
Given how pushed lots of these cards are, its still pretty bad, but it can do its job in a deck that wants to chain a lot of food for more value than just gaining life.

Overall, that Wolf seems like really good value for a common. 4/4 for 4 mana, trample, and you get to make a Food Token? A+ common imo.

There’s a house the wolf destroyed in the background, though.

Two keys
1 look in art it’s a house on fire or destroyed
2 it’s being previewed with the pigs so same to assuming the wolf is connected
Sometimes in limited certain cards being weaker makes the archtype more consistent.

They're even more flavorful with barbecue sauce.
