It's probably still fine, it's going to hit most things that matter in most formats and provide a body. It's probably counter spell 8-11 in some decks.
that special booster version looks really nice
and i like the card alot, could see it being usefull in duel commander (which is a thing here in my region)
Very nice design for the Flyers and Tempo standard archetypes, but the power level feels on the short end. It should really counter CMC 4 or less to catch Kaya's Wrath. The flyers deck could really use a main board answer to wrath that did not dilute the game plan.
Some of the most dangerous spells in Modern cost three or less.
well, yes.... in legacy and vintage as well.
but Cancel is nowhere near playable in any of those.
a 2/2 flying for 2 also isn't.
this could see the light of day in modern if it could be used as a finisher....
for example, if the creature side was like 4/4 flash flying for like 3UU then maybe it could find a place where it would be used early game to counter something, then would come back to serve as a finisher.
as is, it´s pure limited fodder (and a great one at that) and nothing else.
