One of my favorite cards of all time is Braids, Cabal Minion. This is probably as close to the sun as Wizards will ever let me get, again. I'm happy to have the chance to "Braids" my opponents once more. (And Braids didn't even have vigilance!)
I love that if they play Threeferi on an empty board, I can follow it up with this and they will have to git rid of the lil' guy.
I like it. Some Redditors seem to think the last line ruins it but I think they missed that you have to sac a permanent if you have one. It's not a choice at any time, other than not playing permanents.

Protection from reason (Decadent_Creed can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by reason.)
No one said it is Braids. 😛 I did, however, say it's most likely as close to Braids as Wizards will probably ever let us get in Standard, again. And my quotes around Braids is referring to the ability of forcing my opponent to sac a permanent every turn.
If I can, with the trigger on the stack, use a token copy of Aether Vial to put Flickerwisp onto the battlefield, exile Doom Foretold until my end step, and return Flickerwisp to my hand with Coastal Wizard, then I can rummage, trigger all of my (token or land) cards that care about losing or gaining life, and get a 2/2 knight token.
Fair enough. I think Rankle actually is much closer to being the attrition pox/stax roleplayer (like Braids) from this set than this card is. This card is the rare I'm going to open a ton of and hate every minute of it....
Black White tokens seem to be getting a lot of love this set. With Smothering Tithe in play for instance your opponent basically has to spend 2 per turn to avoid giving you an easy sacrifice token. Combos well with afterlife creatures too. It's also not legendary like Rankle the fairy. Piper of the Swarm also can produce tokens for this and then let you take whatever creatures your opponent refuses to play as long as this is out.

Other kings said I was daft to build a castle on the swamp, but I built it all the same. Just to show'em! It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. It sank into the swamp. Then I built a third one. It burnt down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up!
The Orzhov Death Trigger deck with Teysa Karlov, Corpse Knight, and Cruel Celebrant will like this, and it starts affecting the board the turn after you play it, instead of waiting for your upkeep. Not bad.

Thank heavens you have to sac it once the can’t part triggers that would have Ben broken if it didn’t and muldrotha can’t use it either
I say this is the closet thing to loopholing a reprint of the abyss since it’s reserved

For Historic I can imagine it being played in Scapeshift.
I've played lots with Braids, this is no Braids.

It also gets rid of enchantments, artifacts, and Planeswalkers, notably, which is awesome.
Sorry mate, you can't sac tokens to this.
