Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale 3WBR
Legendary Creature - Human Knight
Vigilance, Manace
Whenever an equipped creature you control attacks, you draw a card and lose 1 life.
Equipment you control have equip knight 0.
5/5
I love this design, a hard hitting body that gives card advantage on attacks and reduces equip costs. They are a little expensive at 6, but you can use that time to control the board and get some equipment out before dropping Syr Gwyn. And you can do a token subtheme so that you can attack with those instead so you get the card draw without risking your real knights dying. This will be a fun card to use and build around!
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
the knight guy is a little pricey but the ability is just so strong. the faerie chick feels like she'll be good in a variety of builds - stax, enchantress, equipment, artifact combo, and the dragon guy is pretty neat too... and should be able to get huge/draw you a ton of cards very quickly in those colors
Syr Gwyn, Lord of Cind... er... I mean Hero of Ashvale.
My brain also started to wander in that direction, then I noticed the hair, and the flavor text, and then I realized that replacing the 'i' with 'y' in Magic parlance makes a noun gender-neutral. And then I shrugged, and decided it's lunch time.
I suspect that she's actually named after Gwendoline Christie.
I like all three, although I don't know why Mardu Legendaries always have to have such a massive casting cost. Mardu excels at aggro - if you're going to make the commander cost a bajillion mana, then you may as well not bother with it. The Esper legend is interesting where Flying Tribal is concerned, but since there's artifact and enchantment interactions, that may be the more prudent way to go about it. The Jund legendary I really like most of all three - a very simple, uncomplicated Aristocrats commander.
Gwyn is good, but requires a board state of specifically knights and equipment. Not an easy task in modern commander games, much less asking you to wait until turn 6 to do so. Mardu knights have realistically 1 real method of ramp in knight of the white orchid. I just feel like she would have been far more effective at 4/4 with menace OR Vigilance at 4cmc. It just seems marchesa provides better and more consistent value in those colors. Granted the equip at 0 for knights is cool, how often will you line up the stars to play both knights AND equipment, while doing your best to interact or advance your board state to get to and survive to 6cmc?
Well have played with all 4 decks and can say that the knight one is the worst in 1v1.
The bant deck is bad before turn 7 and after it there are some situations were it is unstoppable (with chulane bouncing mysthic snake and the golem). There is crazy ramp potential in the deck soo sometimes it can lock ppl out sooner.
The Jund and Esper Decks are the best. The jund deck offers soo much value/card draw and sinergy, crazy nice to play.
The esper deck is a bit linear, also I think has the best removal of all 4. The commander is linear and usually wins by itself if not killed early.

Land Tax helps you make your land drops. Weathered Wayfarer also helps you curve out. Mana rocks are also a thing.
Cloudstone Curio specifies that it does not work with artifacts entering the battlefield. I've learned that the hard way when I found out in real time that Cloudstone nombos with Solemn Simulacrum.
These look interesting. The one that interests me the most is Korvold because he's the most flexible draw engine and is a decent enough a sac outlet.
Syr Gwyn, other than bringing me one step closer to believing the Kenriths are indeed like-but-legally-distinct-from-the Lannisters (you know which two), seems fine. I need to see how equipments and the knight tribe are balanced in this standard, because she can't be evaluated in a vacuum with how she works.
Alela concerns me. Not because she's bad, but because Esper Hero is a grindfest, and now they got another token generator for their midrange strategies. I'd have to see the cards that are going to probably get added into the deck, but she doesn't look as good as Hero of Prescient One... yet. Also, it's neat that they've added Warlock as a creature type. D&D references are fun.

But it still works for what they were pointing out, providing you have two 0-drop creatures (hence, why someone pointed out having a Memnite, too, would help). With Alela, Artful Provocateur and Cloudstone Curio on the field, you cast Ornithopter. Alela triggers, making a 1/1 Faerie, which triggers Curio, allowing you to bounce your other 0-drop. After Ornithopter resolves, you cast the bounced 0-drop, make another Faerie, and bounce Ornithopter. Two 0-drops, even artifacts, allow you to build an infinite army of 1/1 flyers (which are all pumped +1/+0 to do double the infinite damage).

EDIT: apparently it’s Korvold
They showed the deck list
There’s a shock land in each one
My lord what is there problem they reprint shock lands in brawl decks but refuse commander decks

I do feel that if Gwyn were given a MTG adaptation, he would definitely be RWB. So it feels like a nice, tiny nod.

They are trying to sell a new product. They know people will by the Commander product no matter what. It is smart decision making on their part.
