The Royal Scions 1UR
Legendary Planeswalker - Will Rowan
+1 : Draw a card then discard a card.
+1 : Target creature gets +2/+0 and gains first strike and trample until eot.
-8 : Draw 4 cards. When you do, The Rowal Scions deal damage to any target equal to the number of cards in your hand.
SL:5
Boosting a creature with First Strike and Trample is... helpful. That seems useful for strategies that want to make chumping to save planeswalkers a lot harder. Golos, Tireless PilgrimField of the Dead decks come to mind. The good thing is that it is also a plus.
The ultimate... is a neat ultimate. Good luck getting it off.

That ult is unbelievably weak. -8 should change the game. I’m not impressed.
As it should be. They enter with 6 Loyalty, Ult at turn 6 and have no minus abilities. I can't think they would be willing to make that Ult any stronger considering how resilient they are. I think as far as Ultimates goes, it's much better than, say, Ashiok.
This card looks busted to me. 3 CMC with 6 loyalty! With two + abilities and one being looting. This is a seriously great planeswalker in my opinion. I will try to get a set early because I could see this thing going up to $40+ before pre-release. Keep in mind this comes from a jeskai delver player who really loves this card in my deck so I may be a little biased or a lot biased. However, I do think this card will be extremely good in modern and will be extremely expensive. especially if UR has support in standard.
Feels like they're using the Kenriths in this form to replace the loss of Dack Fayden from the lore of the game.

How? I mean, the mechanics are the card are similar, but it's not like Dack's death came with a Legacy ban of his card or anything. Dack was out of the story spotlight for years before WAR, so Saheeli and Ral are both more likely replacements.
I hope this is real. For me personally this is the most exciting card I've seen in the set so far. It might finally get me to turn my modern mono-red madness deck into a Izzet madness deck.
if this is real, Jeskai Hero may become a real big player post rotation. HoP1 and Swiftblade Vindicator as workhorse 2-drops, this and Baby Teferi on 3 -- sounds like a very solid core to build around.

I'm not sure I like this over Saheeli there. And UR/WR cards would have to be nuts in order to compete against the UB/WB package.
That second ability is pretty Green for a Izzet Planeswalker.
I doubt it; both first strike and trample are in red, and Green really doesn't tend to get first strike. Forgetting to pump toughness also seems non-green and quite red.
Interesting. Will is almost pure red here, so that makes his sister pure blue. I'm really hoping for cards (more than one) that benefit from having both in play. I can imagine that if you were to trigger their respective +1's (would be out of place for Rowan to have a minus ability), something cool, or at least synergistic will happen. Having cards that interact w/ both of them in place can really open a lot of design space.

Ehm, are we looking at the same card here? Will and Rowan are both in the card. Furthermore, Will is the blue mage, Rowan is the red mage

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
Looting will go great with Bond of Revival strategies.

Same, but the card is at least cool, strong and Will doesn't look like Brienne of Tarth. Would go well in a prowess style deck.
