i cant see why atla not being a dino is fail, i like her design, just think she would be nice in abzan colors. but the card is really creative and flavorful.
flowering is ok, but not crazy good in my eyes (3 mana for 1 token, 5 for 2, 7 for 3... like i said, ok), maybe in combination with the 3 mana modern horizon X enchantment (dont know the name)
Her design is really cool. I have only one problem with her. The effect isn't on the egg-tokens. So she has to stick around for the cheat effect. On the other side... it works with other eggs I guess? This is a minus other than that I find her better/funnier than the other two legendaries.
I saw this one. 7 mana for one token is on the slow end. Let's say we need two egg tokens and one sacrifice engine on the board to maximize Alta's impact.
Turn 3 Birthing Boughs
Turn 4 one token
Turn 5 one more token
Turn 6 Goblin Bombardment + Alta = sac both tokens for Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts / end phase two Eldrazi
Which could be doable yet not that great.
Sadly, there is not any non-creature egg/changeling token generators in MTG. That makes her less attractive.
One Mirror Entity trigger will set you in the right direction for what you want to do though.
In my opinion, minimizing the number of creatures in one deck will please Alta's effect the most.
I think two would be the magic number. A combination of Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Zealous Conscripts will win the game. However, I understand, certain auto-win combos are not welcomed in some play groups, then Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre + Blightsteel Colossus could be the second choice.
Without an ideal egg token generator, some cards like Hammer of Purphoros or Lightning Greaves, giving Alta haste may be another solution .
turn 6 cast Alta -> tap for token -> sac token for a Ulamog with haste.
If I remember my rules correctly, Atla plays well with board wipes.
She and the egg tokens all die at the same time, so she still sees the egg tokens dying and triggers for each one. Then you have a creatureless board and her triggers resolve and suddenly you have a lot of hatchlings... If you can hatch something that gives haste, you can alpha strike.
In my opinion, minimizing the number of creatures in one deck will please Alta's effect the most.

That's a bit too risky for my tastes, even for a combo deck. What happens if someone can stop your combo? Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile cost only one mana, and even Force of Despair or Slaughter Pact can stop you. Then you're basically done for.

Everyone seems to be on the “egg tribal” thing, why not just use her then a bunch of populate effects?
I don’t care about “egg tribal” I care about being able to turn my creatures into new creatures or turn someone’s boardwipe to my favor by having all of my creatures replace themselves.

It depends which routine you prefer though. For a pure combo deck, of course you can run protection cards like silence, City of solitude.
To be honest, I am sort of sick on pure combo deck recently. A control combo deck will be my choice. Cards like Assemble the Legion, Elspeth, Sun's champion are great for Naya token control deck, especially with white board wipe and red spot remove (maybe mass land destruction). In additional, token control deck serves Divergent Transformations great.

BTW: if you are not comfortable with kiki combo, please use Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre + Blightsteel Colossus package then.
With a sac outlet on the board, they are always reusable.

Yeah, this is not my playstyle at all since I really love randomness, but if I were to build that deck with very few creatures, it would probably be Eldrazis and/or Colossi

Building atla as a combo deck is exceptionally boring. You are playing naya and only putting 2 creatures in your deck? If all you are trying to do is win games you can do so much better.

The epic fail is atla should have Ben a third legendary naya dinosaur (but that’s me) but this is still amazing for dinosaur tribal though
Full flowing is crazy good

But you can play Mirror Entity, which is better because it does all the leg work in one go.
