Aren't all vat-made Phyrexians technically Yawgmoth's children anyways? Plus, he's one of the most powerful Phyrexians of all time. If anyone deserves that title, it's him.
Well for the people that wanted hin in modern horizons: Lets see how well he does in legacy, if he has no impact or just a smal impact, the chances of wotc including hin in a Modern Horizons set will increasse.
If enought people claim for k'rrik in modern wizards will be more inclined to do it.
Swamp Sol ring mana vault cast him pay 4 life total vamp Tutor a rings of bright hearth go infinite mana on turn 2 play your deck. Do the lose life greatest power thing and win
wat? How is rings giving infinite (colourless?) mana? How is infinite mana becoming infinite draw? How is infinite draw letting you cast your black spells without dying?
There are god hand scenarios for a t1 win for a lot of commanders, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re broken.
A 7-mana 2/2 that can be cast for 4, that makes other spells cheaper or possibly even mana-free, that gets bigger every time you cast a black spell, and that has lifelink so you can keep casting stuff for cheaper or possibly even free? Yeah, sure, such a terrible card.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Exactly. Not to mention the additional 6 life you need to pay in order to get your 4 mana 2/2. Too slow for combo decks and too expensive for fair decks.
"Too slow for combo decks"? You can cast him turn 1 with a couple cards! Hell, he looks like a terrifying Tendrils enabler!
"Too expensive for fair decks"? You mean decks that choose to just ignore the phyrexian payment altogether, thereby missing the point of the card? Or are you saying there's a "fair" way to exploit the "pay 2 life for B" effect?

But if he isn’t the son of yawgmoth, why give himself the name?
he was created in phyrexia by Yawgmoth’s will and stretching a bit: by Yawgmoth hinself (as he was Phyrexia by that point...).
In the story k’rrik was the lord of a “new phyrexia” inside a time booble he was not disrespectful to name hinself the father of machines or any title that would make him superior or equal to Yawgmoth.
On the surface the casting cost looks entirely too high, but playing it for a bit in proxy says the card is solid. Pair this with an aetherflux reservoir and black cantrips? Sign in blood becomes a massive engine. Dark ritual says 2 life for 3 black. Necropotence became pay 6 life, to have a free mana cost free greed. Obliterator? Check. Diabolic tutor becoming demonic tutor for 4 life? Sign me up.
All around a very fun card, excellent flavor for those reading since the beginning of magic, and I cant wait to pick him up.
Blood Celebrant makes everything you cast free now. Mix with Bolas Citadel, and Aetherflux Resovior and you basically just start gaining life, throw in Greed so you dont get stuck on lands and win.

Sleeper agent or something wouldve fit better than making people think hes yawgmoths son
But that art... it looks so lazy and generic. Like the artist was told use your computer to make a guy covered in spikes

K'rrik sent out SKITHIRYX!
K'rrik: Go, SKITHIRYX!
SKITHIRYX used Poison Fang!
It's super effective!

This is really cool, though. I like it.
