Too bad it says "less than" as by default there are very few Evoke elementals it can pull back. It does, however, hit Spitebellows which is as the kids say a big game for a casual elemental deck. Still, curve this into a Incandescent Soulstoke and suddenly you can be Awakening Mulldrifters and Shriekmaws. Seems spicy and makes me want to build some sorta ridiculous RU Elemental deck.

Fun with elementals like Cytoplast Root-Kin or Cytospawn Shambler that come in with +1/+1 counters on them and sit in the graveyard as 0/0s as well as any of the X/1s (Ligthning Skelemental, Spark Trooper and Groundbreaker all seem reasonable). Sadly, many of */* elementals will be either hidden from this guy while in the graveyard or too small to bother reanimating.
Hmm... There are a surprising amount of red auras that pump toughness, even more if you add other colors, could be good in a monocolor or multicolor build.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Since Harbinger finds the other parts and dies, while Vesperlark reuses Harbinger and loops with Awakener. Ball Lightning is just on top to finish that value.
The fact that Harbinger just topdecks the elemental, and ideally you want it in your grave to get any use out of it, makes me wonder if there's any sort of self-mill play to be made here. If you had another reason to tun a Codex Shredder or Ghoulcaller's Bell, for instance...
If you can get this thing up to 6 toughness, somehow, a Cavalier of Flame in the graveyard could end the game really REALLY fast.
Even in standard, you could drop this on 2, Tormenting Voice (or the like on 3), and Tower Defense (or the like) on 4, attack, bring Cavalier of Flame back for an attack, dump what you want from your hand (probably a lot of lands, because every card here has CMC of 2). Then deal additional damage to the opponent at the end of the turn. If you can keep your Thunderkin alive, shouldn't be too hard to keep the combo going with the amount of rummaging you can do.
I'm assuming other formats could probably be even more efficient.
You also need some way to make this a little tougher, because Nova Chaser's toughness is equal to Thunderkin Awakener's, and you need the graveyard creature to be less-than Awakener's.
I like this in a grixis build with Shreikmaw and Mulldrifter. You can also used the recent Skelemental. Plus, black has a number of ways to bring it back if it dies.

The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Wasn't the full spoiler supposed to be up on Monday (only one week of spoilers)? Did I miss something?
Anyway, nice card for Elemental tribal. The synergy with Vesperlark is sweet.
The article outlining who spoils what says we'll get the full spoiler in a few hours. Monday and the weekend got some extra spoilers to the "one week spoiler season."
