I really hope we see lifegain payoff cards at common. It's annoying (for me and my pauper cube) to have endless decent lifegain cards with no reason to truly run them.
Wow, another really good Common. To think that I had to run Windgrace Acolyte to make my Golgari deck work in Arena Standard Pauper. The fact that it also helps the lifegain deck in Limited is also neat.

My group / groups I have played in all used an uncommon as the commander, with the legendary restriction lifted/optional.
Regarding the Gorging Vulture in singleton format, it has decent value for 3 mana
