MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
For the lists using puresteel paladin, maybe going even heavier into affinity is the way to go since it opens up Mox Opal as an option for even more fast mana.
Trying to distance from being entirely reliant on the hammer, I think Forebear's Blade is pretty overlooked as a benefactor to this deck. Interested to hear if people agree with this more budget deck (budget as in not paying for Puresteels and other $10+ cards.

I'm surprised Steelshaper's Gift is so expensive, but seeing as it helps enable combos like this one, I guess I can see why. Forebear's Blade is a bit slow for my liking. The Colossus Hammer deck wants a bunch of cheap creatures with cmc 0-1 that can drop turn 1 and attack turn 2. If you're willing to add red, Goblin Gaveleer has built-in trample, and Magnetic Theft can be used to attach the Hammer.
Since your deck is geared more towards a turn 3-5 win, I commend your selection of creatures, though I'd probably drop a set or two in favor of some more support. Fatal Push and Smelt will prove to be a nuisance, so cheap protection spells like Apostle's Blessing, Emerge Unscathed, and Gods Willing are useful.

I wonder if it is worth to use sword of light and shadow and puresteel paladin in the deck. If you are not aggressively doing mullingan to reach the turn 1-2 kill the sword gives the paladin the protection to all relevant removal but being striked 2 times with Lightning bolt and the sword helps getting life vs burn (thinking on a slow game) and recursion vs non jeskai control matchs. I m thinking about testing 1 sword main deck and another in sideboard on a W splash R deck. Also testing one Vulshok Battlemaster on main deck as the haste and the ability to grab all the equips is relevant vs decks with interactions and being 5 mana is relevant vs fatal push on the jund matchup, but it is kinda hard to get to the fifth land if your creatures do not get the path in the face.
