Oh yeah, my dinosaur deck just got more awesome! I can get thrashing brontodon or wakening sun's avatar or deathgorge scavenger or a host of interesting Dino's as necessary. It gets removal, summoning relevant Dino's, and buffs them as well. Awesome.

Woah, I suggest you to read that card a couple times more, dude, you're definitely overlooking something. Her +1 is good because well, in green you are often playing creatures, you know, like Llanowar Elves and Paradise Druid to name a few which can also make her come down a turn earlier. Her -3 can remove an opposing threat, planeswalker included, you know, the ones that are everywhere nowadays. And remember, we are playing g r e e n, the color of big creatures, like Steel Leaf Champion to name one that can curve into her really well. Her -5 can grab answer to enchantment or artifact like Reclamaton Sage, Thrashing Brontodon or maybe the new uncounterable dino to close the gae against blue based deck, you know, the ones that infests the meta right now. Yeah, 4/10, right.
Honestly, this is a decent card for standard. I'm sure that this card will see some play as it's a halfway decent toolbox for someone with at least one creature out.
Unfortunately, this card has the bad fortune of having the same mana cost, same starting loyalty, and similar ult to Karn, Grand Creator. When you start making that (fairly natural, I think) comparison, Vivien kind of sucks. Vivien doesn't dive into that wishboard immediately, relies on you having a board presence to do anything the turn it comes out, doesn't have a powerful passive that enables an instant 2-card combo, doesn't have the flexibility of that colorless mana cost, and generally fetches a more fragile card type.
I wish that she started with 5 loyalty so she could search right away. I wish that the first ability was +2 so you don't have to wait 2 turns for her to survive after ulting. I wish that her ult allowed her to grab cards from exile like Karn did. I wished that she cost 2GG so more decks could use here. At the end of the day though, we got what we got.
So yeah. Vivien isn't exactly "bad" but she's standing right next to a card that broke into eternal formats.
I want this in Atraxa; that +1 makes more counters for Atraxa to play with, and the -3 is great when your commander has deathtouch, but triple green is hard to justify in a four color deck. Hard enough to justify that I'm not convinced that I should use this Vivien over Vivien of the Arkbow.

I mean... it is a wish. Wishes are by default powerful abilities. We also have proliferate in the environment making it easy for her to reach the ultimate in the turn she was cast. We also have protection reinstated as evergreen keyword, which can be a very swingy ability but is amazing for side(wish)boarding. Also there is an infinite creature combo in red and green... So plenty of room to turn this card into a problem.

those first two abilities are so creativeless... seen like a million times before. at least they found something new on the ultimate, after desperatly searching... oh wait, it aint new, they just copied karn but with creatures.
I mean shes pretty average, let's be honest. Against creatures decks shes fine, you can use it for removal. But you can get blown out so badly with timed removal. You go to [-3] and then they just spot removal the creature you go to use the power, then shes on 1 loyalty, and get's attacked.
The other thing is that if you were thinking about some fancy toolbox sideboard, firstly she is three green which means that you can't use multiple colored sideboard for variety. You're stuck with green.
The other thing is that you don't want to [-5] her only on 5 loyalty otherwise it's the worst Living Wish ever. So realistically you'll need at least a couple of turns worth of building her up before you'd want to use the [-5] so that she remains in play.
This is really slow.
I guess she just doesn't apply much pressure against creature light decks, which your hoping planeswalkers should shine against.

Exactly. I'm so beyond bored with the creature based walkers. I mean do even people that love creature decks want this? Play any of the other 10 'give counter' walkers?
Seems decent, but nothing to write home about. Compare it to Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants: her counter distribution is more flexible, granting something trample is decent and her 2nd ability is removal which is always nice and something Ajani lacks, but she's pretty much worse in every other aspect.
She, as mentioned above, requires a board to do pretty much anything, something that puts Ajani above her in a lot of removal-heavy matchups... matchups that are very common in current Standard. Her "Ult", while useful for getting silver bullets - which, to be fair, this very set is bringing to Standard in spades - is miles below Ajani's, which pretty much wins the game against a lot of grindy decks which mono-W struggles against. And, of course, GGG is a kick in the gut for the multicolor-heavy Standard environment.
Honestly, not feeling it. If she didn't had GGG on her casting cost, I'd say she could be a viable 'walker for some decks to be able to toolbox various members of the protectioncycleforvalue, but with such a restrictive cost, it would be hard to be able to use more than two colors.
Vivian ia the walker that whenever they reveal a card for her in a booster set I think it is pushed or good. In m19 I said from the begguinig she was pushed as f and bought like 10 copies for low I should have held on her for long cause as soon as they spoiled the event decks without her she jumped a bit more in price. Vivien from war I tought was good (didn’t invested into her, did this for another green walker ).
This vivien is like middle ground between the 2. I guess she will see play, she is almost a Ajani from m19 but also has removal, kinda sad the ultimate takes some time to save her but think this makes her more likely to be played as 4off, if we get good hate color creatures (like the Dino) she will probably see play (like war Karn in standard).
Will probably buy a playset if under $8 each.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

For a tripple green cost you would assume something more interesting.
