Also, is this art a not-so-subtle hint that Purphuros and co. aren’t in charge anymore?
Why would an illustration of a random Giant Chained to the Rocks be any more of a hint towards that than the previous card showing some person chained up against a Mountain? It's specifically something you'd expect the touchy Heliod to do - or any Hieromancer. Even tying (hehe) this to Theros is just implicit.
If this character strongly resembled someone we knew, maybe.
