A nice reprint and a nice upgrade to voltaic key, this set is shaping up to be a pretty sweet core set

A good reprint and a pretty much strictly better Voltaic Key. Sure.

This new card says untap ANOTHER which means it does not combo with any of the untap commander shenanigans you do with key. If you're running the key as a fair card then sure you'd want the new one but who runs key for anything other than going infinite with basalt monolith/rings of brighthearth etc?

I like these. I've been playing colorless decks off and on at FNM since little Karn came out, and Steel Overseer will make a nice addition. On another note: I now want a legendary rogue named Nayrex Slipfinger.
I know I have talked a lot of crap about Wizards over the years, they have deserved it, but I take back a good bit of my skepticism when they ended Masters sets and said they would still be reprinting cards, they are doing a pretty good job on that score.

Manifold Key isn't strictly better than Voltaic Key, but it might as well be. Sometime I gotta build a Zelda-themed deck full of Equipment, Keys, and secret passages.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

I know I have talked a lot of crap about Wizards over the years, they have deserved it, but I take back a good bit of my skepticism when they ended Masters sets and said they would still be reprinting cards, they are doing a pretty good job on that score.
