Eh, would have been better if it hit all opponents instead of just one. That said, it is still removal on a 4/5 lifelinking body with built in reanimation when it dies.
Sacrifice something with a leave plays ability (or a token) and remove a large threat, then when it dies, reanimate a creature with a come into play ability.
All, in all, a 7 out of 10.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
I really dislike that you need another creature to facilitate the ETB. We're paying triple black, we don't need a Bonesplinters when we could just shoot something. Noxious Gearhulk was 6cmc with double black and it just killed something. I get that the saccing is supposed to go with the recursion when the Cavalier dies, but it feels out of place when the other Cavaliers don't need help. Dawn will normally always have a target and Flame is a flexible wheel (yes I know, you still need cards in hand). It's decent, I just dislike the removal design, the rest of the card is good. I especially enjoy the scythe it's wielding.

If you look closely, you'll note that all of the etb effects so far are actually trading one thing for another. White trades a permanent on the field for a creature, Red trades cards in your hand for cards in your deck, Black trades one of your creatures for the destruction of an opponent's creature. Some of these are certainly better than others, but thematically they're all tradeoffs.
Bone Splinters is kind of weak, but the rest of the card is solid enough that it works anyway.
Is it just me or did wotc print a REALLY bad mythic cycle with this core set? Jebus...
Edit: It's like, sure power creep is real, but we still can't print anything better than the Titans of M11...
Most of the titans are broken, sooo?
This cards pretty good, compare it to the Soul Cycle, and it’s way better. These heavy color requirements are a plant for either devotion, or devotion like ability in a future set that will share standard with it. What this needs is Solemn Simulacrum or similar. I don’t see the sac. as a downside at all. I like this one the best of the bunch so far.
Not good enough to knock Doom Whisperer out of the Mono Black Finisher spot.
Well, what could they print that would?
To be honest, if this had Menace instead of Lifelink, it would probably be a much better card. If it had that, then best case scenario would be you 2 for 1 your opponent AND return a modest creature to the field (which hopefully would have some nifty ETB trigger to take advantage of).
This is rather good card in a vacuum. It's just not interesting right now because we don't have many good death triggers. Also there's the fact creature removal is irrelevant and nearly unplayable in standard since nobody will play any creatures in a near future.
Works very well with Mayhem Devil. Of course, God-Eternal Bontualso works very well with Mayhem Devil and is also a 5-drop, so this card seems fringe playable at best. I do have a deck that I would love to test this on, but with the current meta being pretty much 'Walker Wars, the ETB being Bone Splinters instead of Spark Harvest makes it dubious at best.

It also returns Rotting Regisaur, so that’s something.
