I remember when Zendikar came out and I thought vampires where a pushed tribe then. Like dang turn 3 ANY vampire pops out along with Sorin and he survives.
Love the art and how Sorin and Avacyn semi-mimic each other.

Dig the card, but Sorin's face is throwing me for a loop. He looks like he's about to ask mummy for more porridge and will throw a tantrum when he doesn't get it.

On Sorin:
Perfect cost for Vampires. Easily castable. Above average loyality.
First +1 promotes fast beatdown, advancing clock & gets back health.
Second +1 is just . . . insane.
Like +1 Lightning Helix on a 3 Mana-Planeswalker. Cannon fodder should be abundant.
-3 i find this one easily the weakest ability. Vampires are cheap enough anyway. It'd be good if only it could get Vampires onto the battlefield from graveyard too.
I guess it's still good to play out your hand faster.
All in all a possibly broken Planeswalker with Vamps.
I gotta say i love what Wotc is doin with coreset-Planeswalkers:
Find them a theme & taylor it around that theme. (Ajani, Liliana, Sarkhan, Sorin, etc)
I've come to expect that different artists will draw the same characters with different faces, but dang does Sorin look like a completely different person.
Turn 1, play a mana dork.
Turn 2, drop this Sorin, minus 3 you drop in Morophon from Modern Horizons, naming slivers. Cast The First Sliver for free, cascade into whatever. Cloudshredder Sliver for free, cascade into whatever. Unsettled Mariner for free, cascade into whatever, swing for 20?

You beat me to it, I was going to say he looked like the super creepy Dr. Gediman from Alien Resurrection, ie Brad Dourif.
The card itself seems good, I like those more narrow planeswalker designs, make them more suited to specific strategies rather than auto-includes in any deck that runs their colors.

Can cheat out a Chancellor Of The Dross that was in your opening hand if a "pitch" black deck ever comes about. Name has a nice ring to it.
Can also sneak in a Mephidross Vampire to combo with a turn 2 or follow-up Walking Ballista but that deck sounds like a stretch.
I'm somewhat interseted in Elenda, the Dusk Rose (pump power and then get lots of sac fodder) as well as Oathsworn Vampire (Lightning Helix every turn)

That's a pretty decent Vampire enabler. His first +1 ability is great even if the targeted creature isn't a vampire. But who would do that?
