That is... really weird and interesting design. I like it and the fact you activate that ability more than once is just ridicolous
Weird that lifegain isn't the abzan or jeskai theme, yet between this, the uncommon angel and ajani looks like something is up with life total

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
It is a flashy effect that can give you a ton of life (situational) on a high cost card in white. We saw them before. Evra, Halcyon Witness, Resolute Archangel, Beacon of Immortality etc. Life doesn't end games. I don't thing that this card is better than Evra, Halcyon Witness that doesn't saw much play. This is just too situational. You need like a huge bord state, 2 turns/6 Mana. Life gain decks tend to have small life gain effects but multiple at the same turn. Even in limited is situational. You don't want to play this on an empty board if your life total is higher than 6, well at least it is a may effect. Mana sink is nice in limited but I don't know if 12 Mana is worth it.
