Devotion is currently at 4 in the storm scale so not far high, said that this is just a GG for devotion like plentiful other cards, just his ability is really color intensive

Seems like a pretty gross wincon in Green Commander decks, where it goes infinite with Gaea's Cradle/Growing Rites of Itlamoc with 5+ creatures or Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx with 8+ devotion to green, giving you infinite mana and making all your lands 5/5 hasters.

What does Devotion have to do with this card? I though Devotion only counted pips in the casting cost - not in abilities...
It’s actually an infinite combo in Devotion with Nykthos...keep untapping and re-tapping as long as your Devotion is 8 or more.
As a Devotion player; I can say getting to 8-Devotion with him acting as two of it (now especially after the printing of Llanowar Tribe) is pretty double.
We have been given a lot of helpful tools with Llanowar Tribe, Kiora Behemoth Beckoner, and Karn the Great Creator...I wasn’t expecting anything from Core2020.
There is no guarantee this sees widespread play in Devotion (8 Devotion is not automatic; but reasonable..and once you have a Nykthos and 8 Devotion a lot of cards will win the game) but as a 1-of “oops I win” it is probably worth a slot. I will at minimum be testing it.

In a vacuum, this seems just as relevant as Waker of the Wilds was. Which is to say, not much. Yes, untapping the target land is pretty good and the body-to-cost ratio in Waker is pretty bad in comparison, but still, this is a six-drop. In mono-green. We have a creature in Standard right now that has the same P/T ratio this would generate at 11 mana at the cost of 5, and that card is still not good enough. Green is not THAT desperate for another six-drop after Carnage Tyrant's rotation.
It has some potential in Commander, but even then, I'm not impressed. There are usually much better mana sinks you could be playing in Mono-G Commander.

You're right. I confused devotion and chroma. Serves me right for posting on a Monday morning when I haven't had my coffee yet!
