Have Soul Herder in play. Evoke Mulldrifter, Ephemerate it. At end of turn, blink it with Herder, then rebound Ephemerate during your next upkeep, blinking Mulldrifter once more.
4 mana, 8 cards.
Exactly. It feels like what a game called “Magic” should look like, not that I’m complaining too much. But I am hoping that if we ever get around to Aminatou’s plane that he will be all over it. There’s nothing better for worldbuilding than an artist with an evocative and distinct art style.
Speaking of Aminatou, this card slots right in.
Edit: was intended as a reply to Snowbunny. I still don’t know how to use this website -_-
Immediately checked the artist to see if it was Seb McKinnon. He has very quickly risen to one of the all time great mtg artists.
His art has a very... distinctive tone and feel to it. Especially for those who grew up with MtG and remember before they started using CG art
I get the same vibe from Seb's art that I get from Rebecca Guay's art, or Richard Kane Ferguson, Magali Villenuve, or Larry MacDougall. It just looks and feels like what fantasy art should look like. Seb's art is particularly haunting, though - his Stasis is probably my favorite piece of his.

Lapsed DCI Rules Advisor - Retired from playing but still hanging around
Huh, works very well with settle the wreckage and path to exile. It's a spirit so you have a ton of ways to protect it in tribe if you need to.
It doesn't have flying, which is a bummer tbh. So I dunno if it's strong enough to replace anything from the bant version.
This can also get out of hand quickly with something like flickerwisp for eot on opp turn or even better, flicker a felidar guardian for more immediate value.
Also, that art is creep and I love it. Feel bad for the people running away from the flicker monster though.
I for one absolutely love seb's art, and I will happily be picking these up. I love the dreamy softness of his art. I'm also a huge fan of guay, deTerlizzi, and Nielson too. The guay basics are all I play and I made sure to get as close to 20 copies of each as I could. I still aggressively trade for them.
Hoping one day I can get them signed in gold. Seb is quickly moving into that category for me and if he ever does something similar it's gg for my wallet.

This could be my mantra.
Also: This makes me want to pull out UW Spirits again. In fact, I probably will.
