Was I the only one reading "mothership spoilers ending" and thinking like "Wtf, already?!"
Very, very cool overall. Future Sight is a nice addition of the modern cardpoll but since we've already got the Magus of the Future legal, it would had be cooler to have another Magus having an ability of a card of a very cool effect that would lead to interesting combo applications (Mind Over Matter for example).
The Endling is a bit underwhelming (Undying is nice, but works only one time) while the red cascade spell is simply...wow. It's exactly the kind of stuff I love to do and to repeeat all over.
Throes of Chaos, albeit really interesting, seems to be as bad as it can get... lol
I mean..... 4 mana for a random effect that's worth 3 mana or less doesn't seem to be even close to a good deal, even if it's repeatable.
If I open a Crashing Footfalls in limited, I'll certainly grab up this card. RG is the color of lands-in-grave-matters in this set, after all.
issue being.... a deck forcing that to be hit with cascade will have to cost entirely above 4, which will certainly be your doom if you try that in limited.
that said, this card will almost never hit this card, and you'll be spending 4 mana and the land you drew each turn in a random below 4 CMC effect... which is really, really bad.
Yeah, it'll usually be worth it to draw+cast a 'random' <4cmc creature rather than keep a redundant topdecked land. Arcane Encyclopedia was a *good* limited card. That cost 3 mana to draw a 'random' card off the top of your deck, and you still had to pay more mana if you wanted to actually cast it (or it could just be another damned land). This costs 4 mana (and a redundant land) to dig til the next <4cmc spell (skips past land - always hitting some gas), and freecasts it.
You get this card in limited, you run with it. You just avoid doing so in a deck with reactive cards like countermagic or combat tricks.
Restore Balance would like to have a word with you.
Yep, my restore balance just keeps on getting goodies in this set and a few recent sets. This may be the straw that breaks the camel back. Repeat balance is just back-breaking. Might even make running quicken for the LOL worthwhile. I'll try to up my balance count to 4 and run faithless looting.
Yes... more -lings. More -lings for Mairsil. Good...

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
And of course that artwork is fantastic.

Yup, and there are a few cards that are just a word and a number, which is arguably less wordy than two words. Cached Defenses, Dromoka's Gift, Lead By Example, Relentless Advance.
This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
Conspire would do nothing.
Probably. White is the worst at card draw.

True, unless you count Garbage Elemental (version 4)!

this is certainly no card for limited.
It's obviously not meant to be cast from hand. Once you ditch it, lands aren't dead draws anymore.
alright, better than a land you don't need.
worse than pretty much anything else.

In limited, your deck is mostly creatures.
