Well... i don't know. Is this what snow decks need? Don't they need better fixing? I thought the "colorless land with a snow activated ability" niche was already filled

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Is a riff on Treetop Village good enough to see play? I feel like most of the playable manlands turn on for 1...
Only in Legacy and Vintage (and, even then, you do see the odd Creeping Tar Pit or Faerie Conclave). In Modern, most of the playable manlands turn on for upwards of 3 mana. The popular Celestial Colonnade turns on for 5 mana!
Might this be playable in Modern? Fetchlands easily get snow basics there, and this is a nasty piece of work defensively, but not colour fixing will hurt it, and there are sadly no such thing as Snow Wastes.

I don't know where the mechanic is going, but I want this set to stuff me with snow cards. I wish they give us fetchable dual snowlands, even though they're just one basic type, like :
Snow Temple Garden
Snow Land - Forest
(T: Add G)
Pay 2 life, T: Add W.

All the coloured manalands cost 2+ don't they? Hell the most played manland in modern is celestial colonnade and that's 5
Fair Point, I had mostly been thinking Mutavault and Inkmoth/Blinkmoth which seem to show up in affinity, infect and 8rack. I'd completely forgotten about Colonnade. Treetop Village shows up in Jund sometimes? AFAIK, the other 4 from the original cycle see almost no play and other than Colonnade and Raging Ravine (and maybe Wildwood) I am not aware of the remaining 7 from the 2 color cycle seeing any play (which is a shame because I love Shambling Vent). But I'm mostly aware of the format through SCG coverage so there may be things I am missing.
