Gee thanks Wizards of the Coast for spiking Breya, Etherium Shaper while I was in the middle of rebuilding the deck for EDH / Commander. First Mycosynth Lattice because of Karn, the Great Creator and now this bs. It's already bad enough that I'm unable to afford an Academy Ruins, now I have to spend $500+ on a EDH / Commander deck that really should've cost me $200 less to complete. It looks like this is going to cost me more than Shadowborn Athreos which was a bit of a pain to acquire 23 Shadowborn Apostles.

Don't get the wrong idea though, I love that they finally made an Urza creature card that isn't Blind Seer. However this just feels like a slap in the face after all the price spikes we've been getting from War of the Spark up til now. Crucible of Worlds is probably going to spike because of Prismatic Vista, Fist of Suns and Jodah, Archmage Eternal because of Morophon, the Boundless and the list goes on. EDH / Commander doesn't need to be as expensive as Modern where decks aren't affordable.

I don't know about you all, but I suddenly have a feeling they might finally reprint the Urzatron lands.... <crosses fingers>

Sutch a sweet card. Going to replace Menarch with Urza(Mermnarch attracts too mutch hate XD)

This will ultimately be counter-productive, my good man. Urza will be probably draw even MORE hate than Memnarch does!

Depends on the build. Memnarch been able to steal stuff makes other players groan at you. Urza doesn't directly mess with them.

I really, really like this one. Thankfully I built an artifact deck a few months back so I have something to put it in, but boy howdy will this be amazing there.

Making Karn, Scion of Urza's token is perfect.

This is seriously nuts, though, and honestly this could see play in certain Affinity builds. The Construct is a great thing to equip Cranial Plating to.

At this point, I'm kind of hoping it's a cycle of mono-colored legendaries. I'd love to see Yawgmoth, and I'm really happy they finally did a real Urza, but now what I want them to sneak in is Greensleeves, canon or not.

So it's a Temporal APerture that also boosts your mana production and gives you a token blocker?

My god, shivers run down my spine at the thought of the things you can do with Paradox Engine and this guy. Brrr, scary.

Not here they won't considering there aren't any cards being reprinted that are already Modern Legal (other than the Snow Basics) so you might as well uncross your fingers now

You will have to wait for the next "Innovation Set" for that possibility.

this card is REALLY powerful.

4 mana in a deck that will certainly run a ton of artifacts, it'll be very likely a 1/4 alongside a 4/4 or something like that quite easily.

generates a ton of mana, uses such mana for drawing and casting cards at will.....
I mean, that 5 casting cost abilty doesn't even have to tap!

if you can generate a ton of mana in a deck running this dude, he'll simply cast your entire deck right away.

Seems pretty busted with Winter Orb so that you're the only one tapping for mana.

Probably zero chance of this happening. We will get pre-Phyrexia version. "Yawgmoth, Lord of the Wastes" or "Yagmoth, Traitor to Thran" or "Yawgmoth, Father of Phthisis"

Same reason we're getting this version of Urza and not the one everyone knows can't see print due to power levels. (Same. exact. problem. w/Yawgmoth.)

Cool! This might even be a fun EDH deck. I've been wanting to build a mono-blue EDH deck for a while, but I've been having trouble falling in love with most of the options. This might finally be what I want out of a deck.
